  • Publication number: 20240106856
Abstract: A distributed data security event detection and response (DDSEDR) system includes a data security management (DSM) system and a client-side data security event confirmation and response (CDSECR) system that manage data security events, such as ransomware attacks. In at least one embodiment, the DDSEDR system provides data security event detection, confirmation, mitigation, alerting, and recovery from malicious processes and other data security events. In at least one embodiment, the DSM system monitors one or more client file event records for information that indicates a potential data security event. If the DSM system detects a potential data security threat, the DSM, sends information to the CDSECR system that causes CDSECR system to inspect one or more files associated with the potential data security event to determine whether an actual data security event occurred and initiate a responsive action when the CDSECR system detects an actual data security event.

  • Publication number: 20240097998
Abstract: Techniques for extending network elements to inspect, extract, and complement tracing information added to L7 flows by application distributed tracing systems. The techniques may include receiving a Layer-7 (L7) message of an L7 flow associated with a distributed application and determining that the L7 message includes tracing information. In some examples, the tracing information may be mapped to a marking that is to be included in a Layer 3 (L3) or Layer-4 (L4) packet carrying the L7 message, and the L3 or L4 packet including the marking may be sent to an L3 or L4 network element. In some examples, the L3 or L4 network element may be configured to utilize the marking to determine a network decision for the L3 or L4 packet.

  • Publication number: 20240098671
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may monitor a set of time-frequency resources for one or more cell detection signals (CDS) associated with a pseudo-random sequence, where the pseudo-random sequence and the set of time-frequency resources are indicated by an output of a pseudo-random function (PRF) that is based on a timing parameter, a cell identifier (ID), and a shared key. Accordingly, the UE may communicate with a network entity via a cell associated with the cell ID based on receiving the one or more CDS. The UE may also exchange one or more messages with the network entity, and may perform a time calibration procedure based on the one or more messages and a delay threshold of the UE. The one or more messages may indicate an ID of the UE, a cryptographic number, a time interval, or a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20230354757
Abstract: A protective tree tube has an elongated hollow body that is made of a biodegradable material, and has holes formed in the wall of the tube. The tube can be filled, at a bottom portion, with drainage material, and on top of the drainage material a planting material can be provided in which the root ball of a tree is placed. Upon placing the protective tree tube with the tree into a planting hole, the protective tree tube ca be buried and thereafter the tree will commence forming new rootage and become established.

  • Patent number: 10917144
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for using a single wideband pilot signal to reduce a timing misalignment between receivers in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radio system. The multiple generators of the MIMO radio system may be aligned using a second wideband pilot signal subsequent to performing the receiver alignment. The calibration kit of the MIMO radio system may be aligned using a third wideband pilot signal prior to performing the receiver alignment. Alignment may be achieved to subsample precision by determining time delays from the rate of change of the phase shift of the wideband pilot signals.

  • Patent number: 10550984
Abstract: A pipe restraint assembly includes a restraint body configured to be removably attached to a portion of pipe. The portion of pipe is associated with a postulated pipe failure associated with a release of high pressure fluid. A plurality of apertures penetrate through the restraint body and are positioned proximate to a location of the postulated pipe failure. The apertures are configured to provide a number of passageways for the fluid to exit from the location of the postulated pipe failure and to be released outside of the restraint body. One or more restraint devices maintain the position of the apertures relative to the location of the postulated pipe failure.
