Abstract: A brace for supporting a patient's spine. The brace includes a band having a central back portion, a left abdominal portion, and a right abdominal portion. The band tapers over the left and right portions from wider rearward ends to narrower forward ends. The abdominal portions have complementary fasteners adjacent the corresponding forward ends for joining the portions. The brace has a rigid dorsal panel attached to the central back portion of the band and extending upward from a lower end aligned with the lower edge of band, upward to an upper end. The upper end and the lower end are spaced by a distance corresponding to a distance between a sacrococcygeal junction and a position below the patient's third thoracic vertebra. The brace also includes left and right rigid vertical stays, left and right shoulder straps, and left and right closure straps.

Abstract: A harness assembly for suspending a user. The assembly includes a support. The support includes a back plate having a shape corresponding to a user's back for supporting the user's back in a predetermined configuration. A torso connector is fastened to the support for engaging the user's torso and releasably fastening the support to the user's torso adjacent the user's back. A leg loop is connected to the support. The leg loop is sized for surrounding the user's leg to fasten the support to the user's leg. The assembly includes a suspender that is extendable outward from the support for suspending the user fastened to the support.

Abstract: A physical therapy support device. The device includes a framework sized for surrounding a user. The framework has a frame and legs extending downward from the frame to casters positioned at lower ends of the legs. The support device also includes a harness assembly attached to the frame for suspending a user in the framework. The harness assembly includes a leg loop sized for surrounding a leg of the user and a suspender connected to the leg loop and the frame for suspending the leg loop from the framework to suspend the user inside the framework.
