  • Patent number: 7748524
Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning a paint brush and preventing a discharge of harmful and flammable vapors. In a first embodiment, a housing has vertical front, side and rear walls that have upper edge portions in a common horizontal plane for providing a seat for a seal. The common upper of the housing are sealed by a soft resilient cellular seal and a cover that engages the housing. The cover and resilient cellular seal have aligned apertures for receiving in a pass through sealing relationship a handle of a paint brush. In a second embodiment, a cylindrical housing has an open top portion which is sealed by threadably engaging a cover with a resilient cellular seal therebetween. The cover and resilient cellular seal cover have aligned apertures for receiving in a pass through sealing relationship a handle of a paint brush.

Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning a paint brush and preventing a discharge of harmful and flammable vapors into the environment. In a first embodiment, a housing has an open top portion, vertical front, side and rear walls, and a bottom wall. The vertical front, side and rear walls have upper edge portions in a common horizontal plane for providing a seat for a seal. The open upper portion of the housing is sealed by a cover that mates with an upper surface of the soft cellular seal. The cover and resilient cellular seal cover have aligned apertures for receiving in a pass through sealing relationship a handle of a paint brush. In a second embodiment, a cylindrical housing has an open top portion which is sealed by threadably engaging a cover with a resilient cellular seal therebetween. • Patent number: 7401614
Abstract: A brush saver for cleaning and preserving the useful life of a paint brush comprising a transparent body for enclosing and suspending a paint brush and a solvent in a sealed vertical orientation, and a removable top cap for engaging the handle of the paint brush and preventing the bristles of the paint brush from being distorted. In a preferred embodiment, a handle of the paint brush extends upwardly out of the brush saver and the bristles of the paint brush are enclosed with the solvent in the brush saver. The brush saver may also have a permanent magnet on the side of the body for attaching the saver on a paint can, an absorbent open cell pad in the interior of the body and a removable cap on a side of the body for adding and removing solvent from the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 4773492
Abstract: An electronic personal weight scale for conveying weight information including health-promoting messages based on departure of measured weight from ideal weight. Information relating to a particular person using the scale is contained in a cartridge in electronic form. The information comprises the person's ideal weight and messages related to the amount by which the person's measured departs from the ideal. The cartridge also contains provision for storing past weight measurements. When the person steps on the scale and selects his or her cartridge, weight information and messages are presented on a display screen which is a portion of a television receiver. A selector switch enables the apparatus to operate in the "Scale" mode and in the "TV" mode.

  • Patent number: 4577710
Abstract: Apparatus for promoting good health comprising a personal weight scale provided with an information and message center for displaying messages to the user relating to weight and maintenance of a desired weight. The scale may be embodied in a standard version for providing standard messages based upon departure of measured weight from desired weight. In another embodiment, the scale is adapted to provide customized information related to a particular medical condition of the particular user. The scale contains an electronic microprocessor for providing messages. The scale may be adapted to a customized form by associating a removable electronic medium with the electronic microprocessor so as to adapt a basic operating program into a custom one for providing custom messages. The custom messages may relate to the particular health condition.
