    Abstract: A means of stabilizing a cotton harvester during the basket dump operation by providing a hydraulic cylinder between the support for the rear steering wheels and the frame of the harvester and providing a valve that is actuated when the basket raises for dumping so as to trap fluid in the cylinder thereby rigidifying the connection between the frame and the support for the steerable wheels.
