  • Publication number: 20240108844
Abstract: A humidification system can include a heater base, a humidification chamber, and a breathing circuit. A cartridge can be removably coupled to the heater base. The cartridge can include various sensors, probes, sensor wire connectors, heater wire connectors, and/or other features. The cartridge can include features configured to mate with corresponding features on the humidification chamber and the heater base. The cartridge includes a memory, such as an EEPROM, or other suitable storage device. When the cartridge is installed on the heater base, the memory is electrically connected to a processor and/or memory of the heater base. Various models of cartridges can be produced for use with different humidification chambers, breathing circuits, and/or therapies. A connector can be configured to couple an inspiratory conduit to an outlet port of the humidification chamber. The connector can provide a pneumatic connection to the outlet port and an electrical connection to the cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20230157520
Abstract: A medical valve may comprise a valve stem and an operation portion. The operation portion may include a stationary portion, a movable portion which is movable relative to the stationary portion and fixed relative to the valve stem, a seal disposed between the stationary portion and the movable portion, and a biasing member. Movement of the movable portion in a first direction may cause deformation of the biasing member, such that a restorative force of the biasing member urges movement of the movable portion in a second direction opposite the first direction. A frictional force between the seal and one of the stationary portion and the movable portion resists the movement of the movable portion in the second direction.

  • Patent number: 11442042
Abstract: Disclosed is a flexible coil circuit for a non-destructive inspection probe. The coil circuit is made of multiple layers of thin flexible ceramic material, each ceramic layer having a metallization layer deposited thereon. The circuit is capable of continuous operation at temperatures up to 350° C. The metallized layers are able to slide freely over one another as the probe is flexed, enabling the probe to conform to the circumference of pipes as small as 2 inches in diameter.

  • Publication number: 20220095906
Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container enclosure systems that couple with a fluid container and enable different systems, such as endoscopic systems, to access the contents of the fluid container, such as via a tubing set. The enclosure systems are configured to fit a wide range of fluid container necks, ports, or other openings, including various opening dimensions, thread finishes, and/or thread dimensions. In one embodiments, an enclosure system may include a cap having multiple carriages arranged therein. For example, a primary carriage may be arranged within the cap to engage with larger-dimensioned bottles. A secondary carriage may be arranged to float within the primary carriage to engage smaller-dimensioned bottles that bypass the primary carriage. Other embodiments are described.

  • Patent number: 9981676
Abstract: A derail alarm system for notifying a tamping machine operator that a tamping projector buggy is in a derailed condition. A rail sensor with an ultrasonic beam attaches to a tamping projector buggy to sense alignment with a metal rail. When the ultrasonic sensor detects an out-of-tolerance condition, aural and red-LED light visual indications are electronically provided to the tamping machine operator. The tamping machine operator may disable the aural indication and change the red-LED indication to an amber-LED indication until the ultrasonic sensor detects an in-tolerance condition. A limit switch deactivates the cradle sensor when the tamping projector buggy is raised and stored in the travel position for a higher speed transport condition.

  • Patent number: 9625286
Abstract: An adjustable probe holder assembly is disclosed for an inspection or measurement sensor, such as an ultrasound transducer, eddy current sensor, magnetic thickness sensor or optical image sensor, in order to position the sensor in a confined space using an extended arm with an adjustable curvature. The probe holder has at least two elongated holding arms, among which a first arm and a second arm, each having a probe end and a holding end, wherein the probe end of each of the holding arms are attached to the probe and the at least two arms remain substantially parallel and very close to each other when the probe holder is at a non-operational status. The two arms bulge open away from each other due to either a tension force or a compression force being exerted along the longitudinal direction of either one of the arms, holding the probe to be against the test surface of the test object.
