  • Patent number: 11304276
Abstract: A system includes at least one lighting device, e.g., at least one LED luminaire, and a control circuit configured to control a spectral output produced by the at least one lighting device responsive to environmental information about an area illuminated by the at least one lighting device. The control circuit may be configured to control a color temperature of the illumination responsive to the environmental information. In some embodiments, the control circuit may be configured to lower the color temperature of the illumination responsive to the environmental information indicating a level of reflected light and/or a weather condition, such as precipitation, correlated with the presence or likely presence of glare.

  • Patent number: 9980356
Abstract: a lighting fixture includes a power input configured to be coupled to a power source, a power output configured to be coupled to an external load and a lighting device, such as a light emitting diode (LED) device, coupled to the power input and configured to provide illumination. The lighting fixture further includes a protection circuit coupled between the power input and the power output and configured to detect a condition of a power source coupled to the power input and to control power transmission between the power input and the power output responsive to the detected condition. The power output may be configured to support daisy-chain connection of the lighting fixture to at least one other lighting fixture, and the protection circuit may be configured to control power transmission to the at least one other lighting fixture responsive to the detected condition.

  • Patent number: 9877416
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are disclosed for heat management in a server rack. A server rack includes devices and a direct cooling element. A door coupleable to the server rack includes fluid-conducting conduits. An intake hose is coupled to a first fluid-conducting conduit and a fluid supply. The intake hose is coupleable to a fluid supply located below and above the server rack. An intermediate hose is coupled to a second fluid-conducting conduit and the direct cooling element. A return hose is coupled to a fluid return line and the direct cooling element. The return hose is coupleable to a fluid return line located below and above the server rack. The intake hose, the fluid-conducting conduits, the intermediate hose, the direct cooling element, and the return hose are connected to create a single path for the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20080112127
Abstract: An improved cooling system for a computer is disclosed. In one embodiment, the improved cooling system includes an angled blower housing and a frusto-conical, centrifugal impeller. The computer chassis has a chassis air inlet and a chassis air outlet. A blower housing is disposed in the computer chassis. The blower housing has a blower inlet face spaced within 0.512 inches (1.3 cm) from a wall of the computer chassis and facing the wall. A blower air inlet is disposed on the blower inlet face and a blower air outlet is in communication with the chassis air outlet. A centrifugal impeller is rotatably supported in the blower housing about an axis of rotation to move air from the blower air inlet to the blower air outlet. The centrifugal impeller defines a generally frusto-conical profile when rotated about the axis of rotation.
