  • Publication number: 20240151845
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods and devices for performing wireless sensing operations that can accommodate different Rx frequency responses with minimum PHY changes to increase the performance and reliability of wireless sensing in wireless local area network (WLAN) networks. Rx frequency response information can be obtained as channel state information (CSI) in a loopback test and can further be normalized with the total gain in the receiver chain leading to CSI estimation. Moreover, different Rx frequency responses can be categorized into limited groups with underlying circuit conditions based on their frequency response variations. The different Rx frequency responses can be indicated in subfields of a CSI report transmitted to the sensing initiator for performing sensing operations with the sensing responder.

  • Publication number: 20240135043
Abstract: An information handling system includes a printed circuit board, a screw, and a processor. The printed circuit board includes a through hole via. The through hole via includes top and bottom sections plated with a conductive plating material, and a middle section without any conductive plating material. The screw in physical communication with the top, middle, and bottom sections of the through hole via in the printed circuit board. The processor determines whether an electrical circuit is formed between the screw, the top section of the through hole via, and the bottom section of the through hole via. Based on the determination of the electrical circuit being formed, the processor provides an indication that no intrusion has been made into the information handling system.

  • Patent number: 11953380
Abstract: Described herein is a sensor in chip scale package form factor. For example, a non-vacuum packaged sensor chip described herein includes a substrate, and a sensing element arranged on the substrate. The sensing element is configured to change resistance with temperature. Additionally, the non-vacuum packaged sensor chip includes an absorbing layer configured to absorb middle infrared (“MIR”) radiation.

  • Patent number: 11914777
Abstract: Integrated systems for force or strain sensing and haptic feedback are described herein. An example force-haptic system can include a sensor chip configured to receive an applied force, where the sensor chip includes at least one sensing element and an integrated circuit. The force-haptic system can also include a haptic actuator configured to convert an electrical excitation signal into mechanical vibration. Further, the force-haptic system can include a circuit board, where the sensor chip and the haptic actuator are electrically and mechanically coupled to the circuit board. The integrated circuit can be configured to process an electrical signal received from the at least one sensing element and to output the electrical excitation signal.

  • Patent number: 6205505
Abstract: A universal serial bus (USB) transmission system for transmitting a monitor control signal and a data signal from a monitor system to a main frame is provided. The universal serial bus transmission system separately includes a universal serial bus interface IC and a monitor controller IC between which the monitor control signal and the data signal are transmitted through a low-speed transmission interface, thereby reducing costs for handling electromagnetic interference (EMI). Furthermore, the universal serial bus interface can be modularized to allow the monitor system to serve as a general monitor system or a USB monitor system, thereby increasing the utility of the monitor system.

  • Patent number: 6101076
Abstract: An electromagnetic safety (EMS) enhancement circuit is provided for a USB (Universal Serial Bus) system, which can simulate an unplugging and replugging action so as to ensure continuous operation of the USB device after being disconnected from the USB interface due to electromagnetic interferences. The EMS enhancement circuit utilizes an EMS detection unit to detect the EMS condition of the data communication between the USB device and the USB interface; if abnormal, the EMS detection unit will output an overflow signal to a resume-control unit.
