Abstract: A system and method for identifying the next speaker from multiple meeting participants requesting to speak in a virtual meeting and persistently displaying a visual interruption symbol for the next speaker is disclosed. The system is configured to maintain a display of the visual interruption symbol along with a visual representation of the next speaker at a position of each meeting interface associated with meeting participants while changing displays of other visual representations of other participants at other positions of each meeting interface. The system is also configured to suppress displays of other visual interruption symbols from other participants of the virtual meeting.

Abstract: A method and system for securing an anonymous discovery service may include receiving a request from a client device, the request being directed to an anonymous Autodiscover service, identifying a source from which the request originated from within the client device, and responsive to the source being of a first type of sources, transmitting a first response to the client and responsive to the source being of a second type of sources transmitting a second response to the client. The first response does not return a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) to a service endpoint, the second response returns a URL to a service endpoint. Furthermore, the anonymous discovery service may be a discovery service that requires no authentication.

Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein provide a system that can display messages from an original thread and activate a split of the original thread by splitting content of a single message into the two threads. For instance, if a single message within a chat thread is related to two topics, the system can split the content of the single message into separate portions and associate the portions into two different chat threads that are respectively related to two different topics. In response to a division of a single message, the system can parse portions of the message by topic and use that parsed content to generate messages in child threads. The child threads can each use customized topics and each child thread can be generated using content from messages of the original thread.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques and systems for encoding instructions in audio data that, when output on a speaker of a first device in an environment, cause a second device to output content in the environment. In some instances, the audio data has a frequency that is inaudible to users in the environment. Thus, the first device is able to cause the second device to output the content without users in the environment hearing the instructions. In some instances, the first device also outputs content, and the content output by the second device is played at an offset relative to a position of the content output by the first device.

Abstract: A network-based enterprise or other system that makes items available for selection to users may implement group profiles for group item recommendations. A request for item recommendations offered via the network-based enterprise may be received. Multiple user accounts of the network-based enterprise may be detected as associated with the request. A group profile that includes the detected user accounts may be identified. Group profiles may maintain behavioral data for the respective user accounts included in the group profiles, as well as behavioral data for the group profile as a whole. Item recommendations may be generated according to the group profile and provided to the detected users. Group profiles may available across multiple systems and devices so that item recommendations based on a group profile may be provided to different systems.

Abstract: A game information system that locates and identifies content in live or prerecorded video of games or other events, and that obtains information about the located content from one or more sources. Players associated with the located and identified content may be identified, and information about the players may also be obtained. The information about the identified content and/or players may be provided to devices associated with participants for display. The information may be overlaid on the game video and/or displayed in separate windows or screens. A participant may interact with the displayed information to obtain additional information about the content and/or players. Video and/or audio analysis techniques may be used to locate the content in the video. A machine learning technique may be used to improve performance of content location and identification over time.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, devices, and techniques for selecting a device in an environment to act as a communication hub for other devices in the environment. For instance, an environment may include two or more devices that are configured to communicate with one another as well as with remote resources (e.g., Internet-available resources, etc.). In one example, the devices each include a first radio configured to communication over a wireless local area network (WLAN) and a second radio configured to communicate over a short-range wireless communication network, such as Bluetooth, ZigBee, Z-Wave, or the like. A device having a highest battery life may be selected as the communication hub for the devices, such that the other non-hub devices may therefore route messages through the hub using their short-range radios. In addition, the non-hub devices may power off their WLAN radios, thus conserving battery life of these devices.

The method includes (ex situ) treating the element with an alkaline cleaning liquid. In this way, Sn may be removed from a contaminant barrier or a collector mirror. Especially beneficial is the application of a voltages to the element to be cleaned and/or by using complexing agents for improving the dissolution of Sn in the cleaning liquid.
