Publication number: 20200386344Abstract: A valve module stroke detection system includes an adhesive valve module having a reciprocating valve pin. The pin reciprocates in a first direction by application of a compressed gas on one side of a piston and reciprocates in a second opposite direction. The reciprocating pin has a portion in an adhesive flowpath. A sensed element is positioned on the valve pin outside of the adhesive flow path. A sensor is positioned outside of the adhesive flow path. The sensor cooperates with the sensed element and generates a movement signal upon sensing a movement of the valve pin and generates a timing signal upon of the movement of the valve pin. A processor processes the movement signal and the timing signal and a recording medium records the movement signal and the timing signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2018Publication date: December 10, 2020Inventors: Kevin R.
