Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for facilitating network requests regarding transit by users. One example computer-implemented method includes receiving a request for a subscription plan for a user from a communication device, where the subscription plan includes a subscription fee payable by the user for the subscription plan, and requesting issuance of a transit account from an issuing entity and provision of a credential specific to the transit account to a transit application implemented on the communication device. The computer-implemented method also includes initiating a transaction for the subscription fee indicated by the subscription plan from a funding account, associated with the user, to a common account and directing funds from the common account to the transit account, based on the subscription plan and the credential, thereby enabling the transit account to fund transit services consistent with the subscription plan at multiple different transit providers.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for automatically detecting, tracking, and validating transit journeys are provided. A transit data processing engine receives sensory data gathered by a plurality of sensors of a mobile device registered for automatic tracking of transit journeys and detects, based on transit data of one or more transit agencies and a first set of the sensory data, a potential transit event with the one or more transit agencies. Based on the transit data and a second set of the sensory data, received subsequently to the first set of the sensory data, the processing engine determines then whether the potential transit event defines a transit journey having a starting point with the one or more transit agencies. If the potential transit event defines the transit journey, the transit data processing engine continues to analyse the sensory data being received to detect an ending point of the transit journey.

One exemplary method includes receiving, at a computing device, from a network, a request directed to a user account having a first resource and a second resource, where the request includes a category code for an entity and an identifier for the user account, and determining, by the computing device, whether the category code is indicative of a first segment of entities or a second segment of entities. The method then also includes, when the category code is indicative of the first segment, assigning the request to the first resource and responding to the request based on the first resource and, when the category code is indicative of the second segment, assigning the request to the second resource and responding to the request based on the second resource.
