    Abstract: A liquid is contacted with an adsorption agent so that the latter adsorbs and retains the impurities in the liquid. Subsequently, a portion of the purified liquid is vaporized. The vapor is brought into contact with the adsorption agent and removes the adsorbed impurities therefrom to thereby regenerate the adsorption agent. After condensation of the vapor so as to segregate the impurities removed from the adsorption agent, the resulting liquid may again be contacted with the adsorption agent.
