  • Publication number: 20230152589
Abstract: Exemplary light control devices and methods provide a regional variation of visual information and sampling (“V-VIS”) of an ocular field of view that improves or stabilizes vision, ameliorates a visual symptom, reduces the rate of vision loss, or reduces the progression of an ophthalmic or neurologic condition, disease, injury or disorder. The V-VIS devices and methods generate a moving aperture effect anterior to a retina that samples and delivers to the retina environmental light from an ocular field of view at a sampling rate between 50 hertz and 50 kilohertz. Certain of these V-VIS devices and methods may be combined with augmented or virtual reality, vision measurement, vision monitoring, or other therapies including, but not limited to, pharmacological, gene, retinal replacement and stem cell therapies.

  • Publication number: 20170190286
Abstract: A technique to improve traffic flow by indicating the actual speed and any change in acceleration of a lead vehicle to a following driver. The technique utilizes a GPS sensor coupled to a display configured to be mounted or projected on the rear window of a lead vehicle. The speed is displayed in red if the vehicle is decelerating and green if the vehicle is accelerating. It blinks white if the speed is constant. The display is also readable to the driver of the lead vehicle when viewed through the rear view mirror of the lead car.

  • Publication number: 20140230484
Abstract: A single use multi-layered food service product such as paper cups, food containers, or sleeves constructed of materials including at least one phase changing material (PCM) with one or more additives to produce a thermal conductivity ratio of at least 2.0 W/mK and a melting point between 45 degrees C. and 80 degrees C. An inventive pattern for the placement and distribution of the PCM within its multilayered walls is described. The PCM is configured in order to minimize manufacturing cost and environmental impact while providing insulation and maximizing its ability to rapidly reduce and then maintain a safe and preferred temperature for served food or beverages.
