  • Patent number: 5866306
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of certain polyalkylphenyl silanes in photoresists to generate positive tone resist images. The polyalkylphenyl silanes have the formula: ##STR1## where R is C2-C12 alkyl and n is about 150 to 7000.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 17, 1993
Date of Patent: February 2, 1999
    Assignee: International Business Machines Corporation
Inventors: Robert Dennis Miller, Gregory Michael Wallraff, Mark Edwin Baier
  • Patent number: 5266110
Abstract: The invention relates to three new crystal modifications (.gamma., .delta., .epsilon. modification) of C.I. Pigment Yellow 16 ##STR1## having their characteristic reflections in the X-ray diffraction spectrum. The new crystal modifications are prepared by heat treatment of the known .alpha. or .beta. modification in selected organic solvents.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 29, 1992
Date of Patent: November 30, 1993
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Wolfgang Rieper, Edwin Baier
  • Patent number: 4150046
Abstract: Compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which X is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, nitro, trifluoromethyl or a group of the formula--COOY,wherein Y is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrogen or one of the substituents R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is hydrogen and the other is --COOY, with the proviso that at least one of the substituents X, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is --COOY and that R.sup.2 is hydrogen or carboalkoxy of 2 to 6 carbon atoms if X is hydrogen,Are obtained by coppering the corresponding bishydroxy or phenol-anisole-compounds, are valuable pigments having clear and brilliant tints, a high heat-fastness and a high fastness to migration, especially overlacquering, to light and to weathering.
