Abstract: A system to scan 3D images applies sensor fusion of a passive triangulation sensor in combination with an active triangulation sensor to obtain high resolution 3D surface models from objects undergoing arbitrary motion during the data acquisition time.

Abstract: Systems and methods for optically imaging a dental structure within an oral cavity by moving one or more image apertures on an arm coupled to a fixed coordinate reference frame external to the oral cavity; determining the position of the one or more image apertures using the fixed external coordinate reference frame; capturing one or more images of the dental structure through one or more of the image apertures; and generating a 3D model of the dental structure based on the captured images.

Abstract: A magnetic-tape cartridge case has the same general geometry and dimensions of a conventional cartridge, but an additional slanted wall is incorporated between two other walls at one end of the cartridge case. A memory chip is placed with its antenna adjacent to the additional wall inside the case. The memory chip is accessible by non-contact means from two substantially orthogonal directions and the antenna of the external reading device may be placed in closer proximity than heretofore possible and may be optimally oriented to improve data transmission.
