  • Patent number: 6486761
Abstract: An electromagnetic valve including a valve housing machine from free cutting steel wherein the housing and the valve's magnetic core are made from identical, high-alloyed chromium and molybdenum constituents, and wherein the valve housing is fabricated from a chromium-nickel alloy and a high-alloyed chromium-molybdenum compound.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 16, 2001
Date of Patent: November 26, 2002
Assignee: Continental Teves AG & Co. OHG
    Inventors: Edwin Czarnetzki, Peter Volz
  • Patent number: 6209969
Abstract: A hydraulic automotive vehicle brake system with wheel slip control includes at least one non-return valve with a closure member that is lifted from its valve seat during evacuation of the brake system. An elastomeric sealing element is arranged between the closure member and the valve seat member.

  • Patent number: 6007162
Abstract: A hydraulic automotive vehicle brake system with brake slip control and automatic brake management for traction control and/or driving dynamics control includes a braking pressure generator which is hydraulically connectable to at least one wheel brake and a pressure fluid accumulator by way of pressure modulation valves, at least one pump which is connected with its suction side to a pressure fluid accumulator and with its pressure side to a pressure fluid conduit that extends from the braking pressure generator to the wheel brake, the pressure fluid conduit comprising the pressure modulation valves and a pressure sensor that is connected to the pressure fluid conduit in between the braking pressure generator and the pressure modulation valves. The pressure sensor is accommodated in a housing which houses the pressure modulation valves.

Date of Patent: December 28, 1999
    Assignee: ITT Manufacturing Enterprises Inc.
    Inventors: Axel Hinz, Edwin Czarnetzki
  • Patent number: 5865511
Abstract: An electrohydraulic control mechanism having a simplified coil arrangement which provides a compact, functionally optimized configuration of coils relative to their support element, with added ease of manufacture and maintenance. The differing thermal expansions of assembly components and their respective tolerances are compensated for in stress-free fashion. These desirable features are obtained by placing bushes on the underside of an essentially flat panel support element. These bushes respond to spring elements arrayed alongside valve domes.

Date of Patent: February 2, 1999
    Assignee: ITT Automotive Europe GmbH
    Inventors: Axel Hinz, Edwin Czarnetzki
  • Patent number: 5685150
Abstract: A pressure control device for slip-controlled hydraulic brake systems includes a brake pressure transducer that cooperates with an auxiliary pressure system, a reservoir for supplying the brake pressure transducer and the auxiliary pressure system with the pressure medium, wherein the auxiliary pressure system is connected to a pressure modulator that includes several hydraulic valves and storage elements, and a control electronic for actuating the auxiliary pressure system. The auxiliary pressure system is formed by structurally combining an electric motor and an auxiliary pressure pump so as to attain a motor/pump unit that accommodates the pressure modulator.

Date of Patent: November 11, 1997
    Assignee: ITT Automotive Europe GmbH
    Inventors: Axel Hinz, Edwin Czarnetzki
  • Patent number: 4838305
Abstract: A pressure differential valve, in particular for pressure fluid-actuatable motor vehicle brake systems, is disclosed and comprises a housing having a valve arrangement which is loaded by a preload force and which governs a connection between an inlet and an outlet. The preload force determines the gradient of pressure between the inlet pressure and the outlet pressure of the valve. In order to create a pressure differential valve which can be easily mounted and responds quickly at a low change-over pressure, the valve arrangement is actuatable by a tappet which is movable in dependence on the position of a diaphragm.
