  • Patent number: 6374432
Abstract: A portable urinal includes a receiving container which is secured against accidental overturning. A hollow support member extends upwardly from the receiving container. A urine receiver is mounted on the hollow support member and connected in fluid communication therewith. A curtain support fixture is mounted at the upper end of the support member and in turn supports a privacy curtain which extends entirely around the receiving container, the support member, and the urine receiver.

  • Patent number: 4403253
Abstract: A video processor that provides non-linear amplification of an input video signal by automatically modulating a non-linear transfer function of an amplifier having a plurality of piece-wise, analog-to-digital (A/D) converter sections. Each A/D converter has both high and low reference levels set at the input break points of the non-linear transfer function to assign an equal number of shades or levels of gray thereto. The high and low reference levels are connected in a "totem pole" configuration with the high reference level of the first converter providing the low reference level to the second converter, and so on for the remaining converters.

  • Patent number: 4270143
Abstract: A cross-correlation video tracker and method for automatically tracking a relatively moving scene by storing elements from a frame of a video signal to establish a reference frame and comparing elements from a subsequent frame with the stored reference frame to derive signals indicating the direction and angular distance of scene relative movement. A cross-correlation difference signal is generated which represents the difference between a pair of cross-correlation signals dependent on the correlations of the subsequent frame elements and the stored reference elements at two predetermined opposite relative shifts. A circuit is responsive to this difference signal for generating an error signal indicative of the amount of shift required to center the stored reference frame with respect to the subsequent frame.
