  • Patent number: 3996050
Abstract: This invention relates to photographic film structures for forming color transfer images viewable by reflected light without separation of the photosensitive and image-receiving components and to diffusion transfer processes employing these unitary film units wherein a dye is initially positioned in the image-receiving component to offset the color stain that tends to form in the highlights of the transfer image during aging. Any dye or mixture of dyes may be employed which are capable of absorbing visible light in a wavelength range complementary to the wavelength range absorbed by the color stain and are used in a concentration such that the highlights, i.e., D.sub.min areas of the transfer image, appear substantially white after aging, as observed by the eye. In a preferred embodiment, the dye employed is a dye developer.

  • Patent number: 3994008
Abstract: An accessory mount for use in a system for mounting accessories, e.g., filters, supplementary lenses, lens shades, etc., on a compact camera housing including a flash unit receiving socket. The system includes an accessory holder that is adapted to be connected to the camera flash socket to hold it on the housing. The holder includes a flash socket that is operatively connected to the camera socket when the holder is coupled thereto. The invention relates to special accessory mounts which are provided for attaching accessories to the holder.

  • Patent number: 3990895
Abstract: Color photographic products and processes are disclosed which provide a silver image in registration with a light-transmitting screen composed of minute optical elements, such as an additive color screen. The silver image is present in the developed silver halide emulsion layer which is maintained in registered relationship with said screen on a transparent support. Where the silver halide emulsion is negative-working, the silver image is a negative of the photographed subject, and the thus-obtained additive color negative image may be used to form full color positive images by printing onto subtractive color print material. The undeveloped silver halide may be allowed to remain in the developed silver halide emulsion layer, or all or a portion thereof may be removed from the developed silver halide emulsion layer.

  • Patent number: 3990898
Abstract: The color speeds of a multicolor photosensitive element are balanced during the manufacture thereof by continuously introducing into said element optical filter means adapted to modulate the photographic color speed of at least one of the selectively sensitized silver halide emulsions relative to the other(s), and then adjusting the density of said optical filter means during coating to an amount sufficient to obtain the desired color balance.

  • Patent number: 3976486
Abstract: Multicolor diffusion transfer processes and products for use in performing such processes are disclosed employing dye developers and red-, green- and blue-sensitive silver halide emulsions, at least two of said silver halide emulsions being predominantly homogeneous substituted-halide silver halide emulsions.

  • Patent number: 3958261
Abstract: A compact folding camera and viewing device and an apertured flexible mask removably attachable to the viewing device over the eye lens thereof. The mask folds flat within the viewing device in a storage position and when the viewing device is erected to a viewing position the aperture is positioned proximate the exit pupil of the viewing device and is oriented to cause a user to place his eye proximate the exit pupil and sight along the optical axis of the viewing device. The mask is provided with an antireflective face and the aperture is larger than the exit pupil so as not to restrict the field of view through the viewing device.
