Patent number: 10711630Abstract: A retention and control system includes a rotor configured to rotate about an axis. A shroud ring has a peripheral groove and surrounds the rotor with a clearance defined between the rotor and the ring. A support ring engages the shroud ring in the peripheral groove and axially locates the shroud ring. The support ring includes a series of tabs, each with an aperture, projecting radially outward from the support ring. A retention spring engages the support ring radially outward from the shroud ring and includes a series of openings, one of which registers with each of the apertures. An alignment pin extends through each of the registered openings and apertures to locate the support ring and the engaged shroud ring concentrically with the turbine about the axis.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2018Date of Patent: July 14, 2020Assignee: HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC.Inventors: David R. Waldman, Donald W. Tillman, Ryon James Stanley, Edwin Martinez

Publication number: 20200009646Abstract: A method of manufacturing a directionally solidified article of the present disclosure includes providing a collection of particulate material and additively manufacturing a first article with an outer wall from the particulate material. The outer wall defines at least part of a cavity. The cavity contains an amount of the particulate material. The method also includes encasing at least a portion of the first article with an outer member. The outer member defines an internal cavity that corresponds to the first article. The method further includes heating the outer member and the first article to melt the first article into a molten mass within the internal cavity of the outer member. Additionally, the method includes solidifying the molten mass along a predetermined solidification path within the outer member to form a second article that corresponds to at least a portion of the internal cavity of the outer member.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 23, 2019Publication date: January 9, 2020Applicant: HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC.Inventors: Don Mittendorf, Tho X. Bui, Will Otaluka, Edwin Martinez, John Woodward, Yathiraj Kasal

Patent number: 7780459Abstract: An electric junction box has a binding band fitting hole, and two through holes through which a binding band for securing wire harnesses which are arranged along a lower face of a bottom wall of the binding band fitting hole are provided on the bottom wall so as to be positioned at both sides of the wire harnesses. When the wire harnesses are secured, a tip end of the binding band is inserted into one of the two through holes from a lower side of the bottom wall, the tip end of the binding band which has been exposed to an upper side of the bottom wall is U-turned in a downward direction to be inserted into the other of the two through holes, and then, the tip end of the binding band which has been exposed to the lower side of the bottom wall is locked to a lock part provided at a base end of the binding band, thereby to secure the wire harnesses to the lower face of the bottom wall.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2008Date of Patent: August 24, 2010Assignee: Yazaki CorporationInventors: Masaki Yamamoto, Edwin Martinez, John Paul De Jesus

Publication number: 20060141810Abstract: In a wire harness installation structure, a main wire W1 of a wire harness WH is installed in such a manner that it is fixed to a vehicle body panel 1, and an electric connection box 2 is connected to a branch wire W2 branching off from the main wire W1 of the wire harness WH, and the electric connection box 2 is mounted in a predetermined receiving position within a vehicle body. The branch wire W2 is installed along a bottom surface 2a of the electric connection box 2, and is connected at its distal end S to a portion of the bottom surface 2a of the electric connection box 2 which is spaced a distance, larger than the shortest distance between a branching position P of the branch wire W2 and the electric connection box, from the branching position P.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 1, 2005Publication date: June 29, 2006Inventors: Masaki Yamamoto, Edwin Martinez

Publication number: 20050240314Abstract: Electrical power consumption is controlled and monitored by way of a wireless device interposed between the customer circuit and the electrical utility delivery system. The wireless devices is adapted to communicate with a central monitoring center by way of encoded SMS messages. The central monitoring center thereby receives consumption data at almost real time from the wireless device, without the common visit by the electrical utility agent. Furthermore, connection and disconnection of the customer circuit is facilitated by transmission of corresponding encoded SMS messages to the wireless device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2005Publication date: October 27, 2005Inventor: Edwin Martinez
