  • Patent number: 4907594
Abstract: A method is disclosed for the determination of the saturation of the blood of a living organism with oxygen and an electronic circuit for performing this method is also disclosed. The method resides in red light and infrared radiation being simultaneously beamed into living tissue and the mixed residual radiation emanating from the irradiated tissue being received by a phototransistor 18 and the infrared radiation contained in the mixed residual radiation being received by an identical phototransistor 17 with a green filter 20 arranged in front of it. The measured intensity of the residual infrared radiation is subtracted from the measured intensity of the mixed residual radiation by an electronic circuit so as to obtain the intensity of the residual red light radiation and the residual infrared radiation. The saturation of the blood with oxygen can be computed from the values represented by these intensities of the residual infrared and red light radiations.

  • Patent number: 4869691
Abstract: A socket for a multipolar plug connector for direct soldering onto or into a printed circuit board with contact bodies arranged in compartments of an insulating contact carrier and having formed on them contact lugs which protrude beyond the socket comprises a clamping strip which is made of electrically insulating material and is arranged at a distance from the side of the contact carrier exhibiting the exit openings for the contact lugs. This clamping strip has a number of separate clamping points which correspond to the plurality of compartments and in which the contact lugs are fixed between their free end and the end connected to the contact body in a freely selectable arrangement with respect to the compartments.

  • Patent number: 4842557
Abstract: In a contact device for making an electrically conductive connection between a conductor and a contact stud of an ECG electrode, a spring element serves as a contact part and has an apertured plate with an aperture therethrough. The apertured plate with the aperture is arranged in front of contact zones of the spring element. The diameter of the aperture is selected such that only a contact stud with a head which does not exceed a permissible maximum diameter is insertable into the contact device through the apertured plate.

  • Patent number: 4835340
Abstract: A cable which can be exposed to moisture, especially for medical apparatus, has at least one electric tinsel conductor. The material of the metal foil has a high portion of nickel to prevent corrosion caused by moisture.

  • Patent number: 4660790
Abstract: A cable support with tines has a first tined member including open chambers between its tines. Each chamber receives one cable. To hold the individual cables tightly independently of their dimensional deviations, a second tined part with an identical tine distribution is associated with the first tined part. The tines of the first tined part are positioned between the tines of the second tined part. A detachable catch connection provides two-way connection of the two tined parts.

  • Patent number: 4647138
Abstract: An electrical connector attached to a coaxial cable has two contacts connected with the cable inner and outer conductors and a housing about a shield. To provide a simple and low-cost electrical connector, an electrical element is surrounded by insulation and is mounted in an electrically insulated cast element. The part of the cast element inside the housing is surrounded by an electrically conductive plastic shield, which shield is electrically connected with the cable outer conductor and one of the contacts.

  • Patent number: 4460231
Abstract: A connector for attachment to a stud having an enlarged head includes an annular slit spring element with a connection lug. The lug is attached to the wire to be electrically connected to the stud. The spring element has an annular portion of reduced diameter to engage the stud. The conductive parts are inclosed in a molded housing which is formed with a gap to permit expansion of the spring element.

  • Patent number: 4324198
Abstract: A device for the electrostatic application of particles entrained in a stream of gas to a non-conductive, flat substrate, typically a web or sheets of paper. The particles are electrically neutral in the stream. A charging electrode is located below the substrate in the area where the gas stream impinges on the substrate. The substrate is advancing lengthwise, and a counterelectrode is located below the substrate in the direction of advance from the charging electrode. Preferably the direction and velocity of the gas stream near the substrate and direction and velocity of the substrate itself are approximately equal. Also in the preferred form, a grounded collecting pan is located beneath the electrodes.

  • Patent number: 4120553
Abstract: A plug housing for multipolar plug connectors, essentially consisting of two equal, mirror-image joined half-shells which are formed of plastic material, including cutouts for receiving one plug connector element, its connector cable and a pull-release clip for the latter, and externally actuatable locking clamps which, in cooperation with arresting projections in a connector receptacle containing the other plug connector component, forms a releasable locking arrangement.
