  • Patent number: 11934291
Abstract: A method of logging thread parallelism data include executing a plurality of threads at a multicore processor associated with an operating system to perform symmetrical multiprocessing. The method also includes tracking, at a logging subsystem of the operating system, an accumulated runtime associated with each thread combination of the plurality of threads during execution of the plurality of threads. The accumulated runtime of a particular thread combination increases while the particular thread combination is running on the multicore processor in parallel. The method also include generating, at the logging subsystem, logging data indicating the accumulated runtime for each thread combination. The method further includes outputting the logging data. The logging data is usable to increase thread parallelism at the multicore processor.

  • Patent number: 10674036
Abstract: An example embodiment may involve causing a page of a document to be printed on a printing device, wherein the printing device is in an AM halftoning mode and prints the page using an AM halftone; displaying, on the display unit, a graphical user interface, wherein the graphical user interface includes a selectable option to switch the printing device from the AM halftoning mode to an FM halftoning mode; receiving an indication that the selectable option has been selected; possibly in response to receiving the indication that the selectable option has been selected, causing the printing device to switch from the AM halftoning mode to the FM halftoning mode; and causing the page of the document to be printed again on the printing device, wherein the printing device is in the FM halftoning mode and prints the page using an FM halftone.

  • Patent number: 4933804
Abstract: An electrical unit such as a lighting dimmer pack incorporating one or more semi-conducting switching devices such as triacs or thyristors, wherein the usual insulated mounting base (18) of the triac (30) is in turn mounted on the unit casing via an electrically insulating heat conductor, and the said mounting base is connected to the phase or neutral conductor (52), preferably the latter. In a preferred arrangement, a plurality of triacs are clamped by a printed circuit board which provides the connection from the triac bases to the neutral conductor.

  • Patent number: 4437169
Abstract: A stage lighting control system having a main processor unit and a portable desk controller, wherein a local microprocessor is provided in the portable desk controller to scan the dimmer control contacts in the desk and to transmit changed state control data to the main processor as an asynchronous serially coded signal on a low capacity link which enables the controller to be conveniently located remote from the main processor. Changed display data is developed by a visual display unit (V.D.U.) interface in the main processor for transmission on the low capacity link as standard composite video to a V.D.U. at the desk. Output to the dimmers circuitry is through an expansible plurality of output channel processors controlling groups of dimmers for efficient data formatting. Lighting level information is recorded in accordance with a channel code, patching means being provided to enable differing arrangements of dimmers circuitry to be controlled in accordance with the recorded lighting level information.
