  • Patent number: 6928616
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for managing a bookmark folder are provided. In an embodiment of the invention, when a user accesses a Web page using an embedded link from a displayed bookmarked Web page, the user may, if so desires, replace the bookmarked Web page by simply bookmarking the accessed Web page. The replacement is done automatically. In another embodiment of the invention, when a user wants to bookmark a Web page, the URL of the Web page is compared with the URLs of all bookmarked Web pages. If the URL of one of the bookmarked Web pages is similar with the URL of the Web page to be bookmarked, the user may, again if so desires, replace the bookmarked Web page by the bookmark of the new page. Similarity may be determined by user defined rules such as subject matter or differences in URL branches.

  • Publication number: 20040205639
Abstract: An apparatus and method of printing multiple related Web pages are provided. The apparatus and method may be a print plug-in module which when invoked generates a visual representation of Web pages related to a displayed Web page. The display of the pages is in a tree structure whereby the root of the tree is the displayed page. Displaying the pages in a tree structure provides an order in which the Web pages relate to each other. The printing of the Web pages is user-selectable.

  • Patent number: 4054008
Abstract: An automatic opening smoke vent door is provided which serves as a normal, self-closing exit door, and which is capable of being connected to a fire alarm circuit so that the door opens automatically in the event of a fire to allow smoke to be vented. The invention provides a member, preferably an L-shaped sub-frame, hinged to the normal door frame, and with an opening device acting between the door frame and the hinged member to urge this member from a closed position to an open position disposed at about 90.degree. to the door frame. The hinged member is normally held in the closed position by a solenoid operated latch, which is released to allow the member to open in the event of a fire. The door is itself hinged to the hinged member, and a normal door closer is connected between the hinged member and the door to allow the door to operate in the usual way when the hinged member is in the closed position.
