Abstract: This disclosure relates to biometric hash matching methods and systems for one or more of identification, verification, or authentication applications, particularly, though not necessarily exclusively, for biometrics in the form of fingerprints. In the disclosure, a plurality of enrolled hashed templates is stored in a memory device in the form of a database communicatively coupled to at least one processor. Each enrolled hashed template comprises a hash, with a suitable hashing function, of an enrolled user password, a salt, and fingerprint data associated with a fingerprint of an enrolled user. Upon receipt of the same, a probed hashed template is compared with one or more enrolled hashed templates stored in the database to determine a match. The probed hashed template comprises a hash, with the suitable hashing function, of a probed user password, the salt, and fingerprint data associated with a fingerprint of the probed user.
