  • Patent number: 9707338
Abstract: An ambulatory infusion device includes a common module having a pump mechanism and a fluid flow path in communication with the pump mechanism. The device also includes a custom module operably coupleable to the common module. The custom module includes a reservoir for housing a liquid composition comprising a medicament and control electronics. The reservoir is configured to fluidly couple with the fluid flow path, and the control electronics are configured to electrically couple to the pump mechanism when the common module and the custom module are operably coupled. When the common module and the custom module are operably coupled, the pump mechanism is configured to drive the liquid composition from the reservoir to a patient via the fluid flow path, and the control electronics are configured to control the rate at which the pump mechanism drives the liquid composition.

  • Patent number: 9532584
Abstract: The present invention is directed to process cheese type products prepared with calcium-reduced ingredients but without emulsifying salts and methods of producing such process cheese type products without emulsifying salts. The process cheeses of the present invention are advantageously resistant to separation during heating and retain desirable organoleptic properties, such as texture, without using emulsifying salts. The process cheeses of the present invention are also lower in sodium than conventional produces cheese products.

  • Patent number: 9469387
Abstract: An inflatable bag is selectively usable as one of a buoy and a punching bag. The inflatable bag is inflated depending on the selected use, and the inflating is practiced differently depending on the use decision. When it is decided to use the bag as a punching bag, the bag is suspended, and the bag is inflated with water. An inflatable bag member and kit includes components suitable for the selected use.

  • Publication number: 20050044033
Abstract: A like-kind exchange method wherein an accommodator acquires a property on behalf of an exchanger and establishes itself as the tax owner of the acquired property by becoming liable to pay on at least a portion of a debt on the acquired property. The accommodator then leases the acquired property to the exchanger with an option to buy. During the term of the lease, the exchanger is free to perform any desired development work on the acquired property. With this procedure, the acquired property is available as a replacement property in a like-kind exchange by the exchanger for longer than the 180 day time limitation imposed by Revenue Procedure 2000-37.

  • Patent number: 6792312
Abstract: An improved system and method for interconnecting an electrical device to a connector is provided. A connector assembly includes at least one connector block. The connector block may be of a type adapted to mechanically and electrically couple to an electrical lead, although any other type of connector for forming an electrical contact may be employed. The connector assembly further includes at least one weld plate. A conductor such as a wire is routed between the connector block and the weld plate and electrically coupled to both structures. The connector assembly is adapted to be fastened to a device housed within an enclosure, such as an implantable medical device residing within a can. A conductor extending from circuitry within the housing may be electrically coupled to the weld plate to thereby form an electrical connection between the circuitry and the connector block.

  • Patent number: 5447140
Abstract: A fuel system for use on an internal combustion engine has a fuel metering body which defines a fuel plenum therein. The plenum has an inlet for pressurized fuel, a pressure regulator, and a fuel outlet. Disposed within the fuel plenum, in fluid communication with one another, the inlet and the outlet, are a plurality of fuel injectors. The fuel injectors have outlets which extend through the fuel meter body and deliver fuel to the intake ports of the associated engine through flexible fuel lines terminated by pressure pulse activated poppet nozzles providing a significant degree of application flexibility. The fuel meter body mounts within the intake manifold such that fuel and electrical connections extend out of the manifold for simplified source attachment.

  • Patent number: 5070845
Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle has a tubular body adapted to receive fuel, a tubular seat member mounted to the body, the seat member having an opening for discharging fuel and a valve seat surrounding the opening, a poppet valve member engageable with the valve seat to interrupt fuel flow through the opening, and an extension spring anchored to the body and to the valve member and biasing the valve member to engage the valve seat. The extension spring is a helically coiled spring with each coil lying close to the adjacent coils and with the coils at one end overlying an end of the body to anchor the spring to the body and to cause fuel flowing through the nozzle to pass between the coils of the spring; the spring thereby acts as a filter for fuel to be discharged by the nozzle. The seat member is axially movable relative to the body to adjust the length of the spring and thus the bias on the valve member whereby the desired valve-opening pressure differential may be established.
