  • Patent number: 4116599
Abstract: A tool carrier mechanism for injection molding machines for securing a tool part to a tool carrier, comprises a guide bolt having means for connecting it to the tool part so that it projects outwardly from the rear of the tool part. A tool carrier has a bore therethrough for receiving the guide bolt and has a front face against which the rear of the tool part is engageable and has an opposite rear face beyond which said guide bolt projects. A slide mounted on the tool carrier adjacent the rear face of the tool carrier is movable toward and away from the guide bolt for engagement and disengagement therefrom. Wedge surfaces are defined between the guide bolt and said slide effecting an inward movement of the guide bolt with the tool part to exert an inward pressure engagement of the tool part with the tool carrier.

  • Patent number: 4054406
Abstract: The ejector operating mechanism includes an ejector cylinder and an ejector piston, with the ejector piston extending through an adjusting bush and being fixedly connected thereto. An internally threaded sleeve is mounted in the cylinder for movement axially thereof while being fixed against rotation, and abutments engage with the sleeve to limit the axial movement thereof. The adjusting bush is threadedly engaged in this sleeve whereby the axial position of the sleeve relative to the bush can be varied by rotating the ejector piston, to determine the stroke of the ejector piston.

  • Patent number: 3977661
Abstract: The machine is designed particularly for molding plastics and includes two mold locking units, each having a stationary yoke and a mobile yoke, associated with a turntable used for transporting an open mold between first and second working stations. The turntable is mounted for rotation about an axis parallel to the direction of operation of the mold locking units and between the stationary and mobile yokes, to extend between the working stations. A rotary piston drive is mounted on a stationary yoke coaxially with the turntable axis to rotate the turntable. A spring is provided to exert a lifting effect on the turntable to provide a slight clearance between the turntable and the stationary yokes, and a hydraulic pressure mechanism acts coaxially of the turntable in opposition to the spring so that, when supplied with pressure, the turntable is forced against the lower or stationary yokes.

  • Patent number: 3945620
Abstract: The machine includes a hydraulically operated rotatable and axially displaceable plasticizer and injection screw, and has a frame including a traverse or supporting bridge member. An injection cylinder is secured to one side of the traverse and a plasticizing cylinder, guiding the screw, is secured to the opposite side of the traverse. A hollow, non-rotating piston is guided in the injection cylinder, and a hydromotor is fixedly connected with the injection piston. The hydromotor has a drive shaft extending coaxially through the injection piston and coupled coaxially to the plasticizer and injection screw. The hydromotor, its drive shaft, the injection piston and the plasticizing screw thus form an axially movable coaxial unit mounted for limited axial movement on beams secured on the mold-carrier plate at the nozzle side of the mold.
