    Abstract: Clamp assemblies and associated methods are disclosed. According to one aspect, a clamp assembly may comprise a shell, a tensioning mechanism, and a retainer. The shell includes a pair of segments sized to be positioned over a joint connection, with the pair of segments being moveable between an open position and a contracted position. The tensioning mechanism is operable to tighten the pair of segments and includes a threaded shaft extending through a segment opening defined in a first segment of the pair of segments. The retainer is coupled with the first segment and includes a first cantilevered flange configured to engage the threaded shaft to retain the threaded shaft in position relative to the first segment.

    Abstract: A ceiling fan blade is disclosed that is twisted rather than flat and has a graduated dihedral. The dihedral is provided for a wider distribution of divergence of air in the space beneath the fan. The blade (10) is demarked to have three sections which include a mounting section (11) and two airflow sections (12) and (13). The two airflow sections (12) and (13) are twisted with the rate of twist from the root end to the tip end being nonuniform. The twist or ratio of the degree increase in the angle of attack over each inch in length deceases from root end to the tip end.

The bottom portion has a top connecting end (17) having a narrowed neck (18) with a large notch (19). The pole top portion has a bottom connecting end (21) having an internal diameter sized to receive the neck of the bottom portion. The pole top portion also has a window (22) therein. A cover plate (24) is configured to be mounted over the window. The structure also includes an electrical cord (27) which provides an electrical current to a device coupled to the pole. The electrical cord has a first portion (28) terminating with a female electrical coupler or connector (29) and a second portion terminating with a male electrical coupler (32). The male coupler or connector is configured to be received within the female coupler.

The compression device includes a compression tube (21), a compression collar (22), and an alignment pin (23). The compression tube has a flange (24), an externally threaded portion (25), and an externally tapered portion (26). The tapered portion has a series of slots (29) therein which allow the diameter of the tapered portion to vary with the application of an inwardly directed force thereon. The compression collar has a tubular, internally threaded portion (31) from which extends an internally tapered portion (32). The internally tapered portion is configured to engage the externally tapered portion of the compression tube. The tabletop has a central hole (38) therein configured to receive and thereby be journalled onto the pole.
