Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for a knowledgebase framework. Information is obtained from at least one source utilizing a network. Utilizing a knowledge model, an index is generated for the obtained information. The generated index includes a plurality of items each associated with at least some of the obtained information. Utilizing the network, the generated index is displayed to a user. The user is permitted to select an least one of the items of the index. The information associated with the selected item is then displayed to the user utilizing the network.

Abstract: When displaying a plurality of data elements, region indicia, defined according to corresponding data types, are displayed. Data element indicia representative of the plurality of data elements are displayed within a plurality of regions defined by the region indicia according to the data types corresponding to each data element indicium. Additionally, relationship indicia representative of a plurality of relationships between at least a portion of the data elements may also be displayed. An initial or selected data element indicium is displayed in a focus region of the plurality of regions. At least a second data element indicium is displayed in one of the other regions. Thereafter, the second data element indicium may be selected for display in the focus region, thereby causing at least a portion of the region indicia to be redisplayed based on the second data element indicium being displayed in the focus region.

Information from the source is then extracted utilizing the network. The format of the extracted information is converted into a common format. An index is generated for the information utilizing a knowledge model. The generated index is then stored in a database.

Utilizing a network, information is received from a user that relates to a target to be tracked. The network is monitored for changes to the target. When a change is monitored, data relating to the monitored changes is retrieved and then transmitted to the user utilizing the network.
