  • Patent number: 8774307
Abstract: In a multicell communication system, a terminal that belongs to a second cell using the same subcarrier as a terminal that belongs to a first cell changes a pilot in an allocated basic resource block. Then, a base station that manages the first cell can estimate a channel of an interference signal transmitted from a second cell from a reception signal even though the reception signal includes an interference signal from the terminal that belongs to the second cell at the time of receiving a signal transmitted from the terminal that belongs to the first cell. Further, the base station that manages the first cell may reduce an interference signal from a reception signal by using a channel estimation value.

  • Patent number: 8498662
Abstract: In a communication system including a plurality of base stations and a plurality of terminals belonging to each of the base stations, the base station receives information on subcarriers allocated to a terminal that belongs to an adjacent base station from the adjacent base station. Thereafter, the base station generates power control information on the basis of the subcarrier information and transmits the power control information to the terminal, and the terminal controls uplink power on the basis of the received power control information. At this time, the power control information, as information based on estimating hitting between subcarriers used by the terminal that belongs to the base station and subcarriers used by the adjacent base station, may be a ratio found by dividing the total number of subcarriers used by each terminal that belongs to the adjacent base station by the entire number of subcarriers that can be used by the base station.

  • Patent number: 7761112
Abstract: A power controlling device in a mobile communication system, and a method thereof. A base station calculates an average interference of N previous frames, and broadcasts the average interference to subscriber stations. The subscriber stations determine transmission power based on the average interference. Noise and Interference (NI) of frames within a section corresponding to a setting size is calculated (the frames may include a current frame) so an estimated interference is close to the interference generated in the frame in which the subscriber station actually transmits a signal. In addition, to more precisely estimate the NI, the NI of the current frame is compensated according to a value and is broadcast.

  • Patent number: 7428228
Abstract: A method and apparatus in a UE for detecting active channelization codes including channelization codes used by other UEs, which are different from at least one channelization code assigned to the UE, for transmission/reception to/from a Node B in an assigned time slot in a mobile communication system, where each of time slots of a radio channel frame is identified by a plurality of code channels, each having a unique channelization code. Accordingly, a channelization code set is formed to include a predetermined number of channelization codes to be searched, code channel data corresponding to the channelization codes is detected from a received signal, the code power of the code channel data is measured and compared with a predetermined threshold, and channelization codes having code power values exceeding the threshold are selected as active channelization codes.
