Abstract: A hyaluronic acid hydrogel formulation including phytoestrogen for the treatment of vaginal atrophy and vaginal rejuvenation and production method thereof is provided. The phytoestrogens included in the hyaluronic acid hydrogel formulation are herbal substances that can produce estrogenic effects and have the same structure and functions as estradiol. In this way, risks such as heart attack, stroke, and blood clotting seen in alternative treatment methods including hormone are not encountered.

Abstract: A hydrogel formulation is developed to be used in ophthalmological applications and as a vitreous substitute. More specifically, a hybrid hydrogel formulation including a cross-linked hyaluronic acid and collagen complex is provided. The hybrid hydrogel formulation can further include a sulfated glycosaminoglycan (sGAG) or ascorbic acid and/or an ascorbic acid derivative.

Abstract: An ophthalmic formulations developed for the treatment and prevention of cataract and a method for preparation thereof are provided. The objective of the present invention is to develop an ophthalmic topical formulation which the patients can use themselves non-invasively in order to prevent development of cataract in risk groups or to treat existing cataracts.

Abstract: An ophthalmic multifocal lens providing far, intermediate, and near vision having a light transmissive body with an optical axis and a refractive baseline extending over part of the lens body: further having a first portion coinciding with a central area of said lens body and a multifocal second portion extending concentrically radially: said second portion further comprising a symmetric multifocal diffractive grating superpositioned onto said baseline, covering a portion of the lens, its shape and resulting light intensity distribution changing with distance to optical axis, said first portion being substantially concave, connected to the ridge of said grating that is closest to the optical axis and provides a dominant optical power between intended far and intermediate powers; configured to have an energy ratio intended for far vision to energy intended for near vision being lower for predetermined aperture(s).
