Abstract: A gateway, computer program product and a method for accessing an IPA agent, the method may include (a) receiving, by the gateway and over a wired communication link, a request to initiate a phone call; (b) determining, by the gateway, whether to direct the phone call to the IPA agent or to another agent that differs from the IPA agent; (c) directing the phone call to the IPA agent when determining to direct the phone call to the IPA agent; and (d) directing the phone call to the other agent when determining to direct the phone call to the other agent.

Abstract: To overcome the restriction on the number of handsets or portable parts that can be rung at any one time using the DECT protocol, the ULE B-field paging mechanism is used as a replacement for the DECT indirect link establishment scheme. ULE B-field paging is used to indicate the presence of an incoming call to multiple handsets, or handset groups. Also, the ULE Connectionless, (connectionless), downlink may be used to indicate other information. This information would include but not be limited to Caller ID, pending address book changes, and SMS message pending.

Abstract: Methods and systems for optimized routing of real time media session data between session initiation protocol SIP endpoints. In one embodiment of the invention, first and second SIP endpoints each provide notification of network address translation NAT topology thereof and based on the NAT topologies of the two endpoints an SIP server decides whether to route media between the two endpoints via a direct path or via a media relay.

The device preferably features a display screen for displaying video information, such as a GUI (graphical user interface) for example. More preferably, the display screen is integrated with a touch screen. Additionally or alternatively, function buttons are also provided for receiving user input. The system and device also provides real time language based scripting software functionality which enables the device to be flexibly customized according to the request of the user.
