  • Patent number: 4380528
Abstract: A silver-based alloy incorporating palladium, magnesium and aluminium in the following proportions of the components, percent by weight:______________________________________ palladium 5 to 30 magnesium 0.1 to 0.5 aluminium 0.01 to 0.5 silver the balance. ______________________________________The alloy of the above-specified composition, in contrast to the known silver-based alloys, possesses a sufficiently high plasticity (relative elongation of the alloy after the internal oxidation thereof is as high as 25%), while retaining a high level of mechanical strength, elasticity, electro-contact and corrosion-resistance properties.

  • Patent number: 4218245
Abstract: A nickel-base alloy contains 0.05 to 6.5 percent by weight of manganese, 0.01 to 6.0 percent by weight of copper, 0.01 to 5.0 percent by weight of at least one element selected from the group consisting of titanium, vanadium, molybdenum, chromium, tungsten, niobium, tantalum, nickel being the balance. This alloy has magnetostriction with a value thereof reaching 50.times.10.sup.-6 after annealing carried out at a temperature of 700.degree. to 1200.degree. C.; the yield strength of this alloy is 6.5 to 20 kg per sq. mm.

  • Patent number: 4139372
Abstract: A copper-based alloy also contains aluminium and hafnium expressed as weight percentages:Aluminium 0.01 to 1Hafnium 0.005 to 1Copper the balance. The alloy may also contain 0.01 to 1% by weight of titanium. The proposed alloy combines high electrical conductivity which is 75 to 99% of that of copper, together with increased mechanical strength at room temperature and an ability to maintain its high strength during shorter long term exposure to temperatures.
