  • Publication number: 20070297554
Abstract: A system and method for the production of radioisotopes by the transmutation of target isotopic material bombarded by a continuous wave particle beam. An ion source generates a continuous wave ion beam, irradiating an isotope target, which is cooled by transferring heat away from the target at heat fluxes of at least about 1 kW/cm2.
    Type: Application

    Publication date: December 27, 2007
Inventors: Efraim Lavie, Ido Silverman, Alexander Arenshtam, Daniel Kijel, Lea Broshi, Eliahu Sayag
  • Patent number: 6409943
Abstract: A radiotheraputical source of Rhenium188 comprises metallic Tungsten188 or a metal oxide of Tungsten188. Therapeutic device using Rhenium188 comprise a radioactive source for the in situ generation of Rhenium188 from Tungsten188.

Assignee: The State of Israel, Atomic Energy Commission
Inventors: Efraim Lavie, Daniel Kijel, Eliahu Sayag, Yehoshua Michael Bettan
  • Patent number: 5084560
Abstract: Novel pH-sensitive immunoconjugates which dissociate in low-pH tumor tissue, comprising a chemotherapeutic agent and an antibody reactive with a tumor-associated antigen are described. The chemotherapeutic agent is coupled to the antibody by a link which is unstable in low pH. The link may comprise a spacer consisting of a polyamino acid. Representative antibodies for use in these immunoconjugates include monoclonal antibodies which are not internalized by tumor cells.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 7, 1990
Date of Patent: January 28, 1992
    Assignee: Oncogen
Inventors: Karl E. Hellstrom, Ingegerd E. Hellestrom, Efraim Lavie
