  • Publication number: 20150165917
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, a charge controller, a charger and charging system for charging a battery of an electric vehicle, which can include a) determining a priority for each port where an electric vehicle is connected, b) assigning a maximum available power budget to a port with first priority, c) performing a charge session at the port with the first priority, d) monitoring actual power delivered to the vehicle from the priority port, e) adjusting the power budget value of the priority port depending on the actual power delivered to the vehicle and f) assigning a remaining portion of the power budget to the port with the second highest priority, g) if the power budget exceeds a predetermined threshold value, starting or restarting a charge session at the port where the remaining portion of the power budget is assigned, and h) repeating steps e-h.

  • Publication number: 20140266047
Abstract: The present invention relates to a charger for charging the battery of an electric vehicle, comprising at least one port for exchanging electric power and/or data with a vehicle during a charge session, first data communication means, for saving information regarding the charge session to a data storage location, second data communication means, for communicating a reference for obtaining access to the data storage location comprising the information regarding said charge session to an external device.

  • Publication number: 20090128815
Abstract: A roll detection system is disclosed for detecting a roll angle of a light emitting apparatus around a longitudinal axis thereof. The light emitting apparatus preferably is a pointing device (2). The system furthermore comprises a light detecting arrangement (4) for detecting light emitted by the pointing device (2) and means for determining where the pointing device is pointed. The pointing device (2) comprises at least a first (X1) and a second light source (Y1). The first (X1) and second light source (Y1) emit light with a different polarization orientation. The light detecting arrangement (4) is equipped with a polarization filter (3). The orientation of the polarization of the light emitted by the first (X1) and second light source (Y1) differs by an angle unequal to 90°. With the system the roll angle of the pointing device (2) can be determined for a large angle range.

  • Publication number: 20090085869
Abstract: Pointing device (2) comprising two light sources (X1,X2) symmetrically arranged along a first axis (X) and two light sources (Y1,Y2) symmetrically arranged along a second axis (Y) perpendicular to the first axis (X). The pointing device (2) is used in a system comprising a light detector (4) near a screen and calculation means to determine where a user is pointing the device in relation to the screen. The light sources point in substantially the same direction along a third axis (Z) perpendicular to the first axis (X) and second axis (Y). The pointing device comprising shielding means (6) for shielding more light emitted by one of the light sources than light emitted by the other light sources when the pointing device (2) is pointed away from the detector (4), wherein the shielding means (6) are arranged substantially symmetrically with respect to the light sources (X1,X2).
