  • Patent number: 8978828
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for metered dispensing of lubricants using a lubricant dispenser comprising a reservoir chamber filled with lubricant, a gas generating unit for electrochemically generating gas, a piston acted on by the generated gas for outputting the lubricant from the reservoir chamber, and an electronic control unit for controlling the electrochemical gas generation. According to the invention, the temperature of the lubricant or the environment is measured at time intervals, and an average temperature value is derived from a plurality of measured temperature values. Using stored correction values describing the temperature-dependence of the electrochemical gas generating rate, a control parameter determining the electrochemical gas generation is set for the average temperature value, having the requirement that the gas generating rate at the average temperature value corresponds to the target value that correlates to prescribed dispensing time.

  • Publication number: 20080271951
Abstract: A method for dispensing lubricants uses a lubricant dispenser that has a lubricant reservoir connected to a housing outlet in a housing, and a gas production region that borders on the lubricant reservoir and accommodates an electrolyte fluid. To start dispensing the lubricant, a galvanic gas production element is introduced into the electrolyte fluid, whereby the lubricant is pressed out of the lubricant reservoir, through the housing outlet, under the pressure of a gas that is produced via electrochemical decomposition of the gas production element. An additional component is introduced into the electrolyte fluid at the same time with the galvanic gas production element, which component is decomposed in the electrolyte fluid during a shorter period of time, with reference to the entire period of operation, with the production of gas, and thereby brings about an increase in the gas production rate, part of the time. A gas production element for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080217106
Abstract: A metering device for a lubricant dispenser has an inflow opening and at least two outflow openings for dividing up the amounts of lubricant being conveyed, and has a slide inserted into a housing of the metering device so as to move lengthwise, which slide has an axial bore on the inflow side. The outflow openings are connected to the axial bore of the slide on the inflow side by way of a displacement chamber, in each instance. The displacement chambers are hydraulically separated from one another by kickback valves. A forward stroke of the slide brings about a reduction in volume of the displacement chambers and flow of the lubricant out of the outflow openings. A backward stroke of the slide brings about an increase in volume of the displacement chambers and follow-up flow of the lubricant through the kickback valves.

  • Patent number: 6450792
Abstract: The invention relates to a displacement machine, in particular a displacement pump used in an automobile and having two components movable slidably relative to one another. In order to keep the wear on the components low, even in the case of a poorly lubricating operating medium, there is provision for at least one component of the two components to be hardened at least on the surface and to consist of sintered material which contains predominantly ferrite and a constituent for improving the sliding properties. This design is particularly advantageous in automobile pumps operating with transmission oil or feeding fuel.

  • Patent number: 6293253
Abstract: A control for a pressure fluid supply system is described, in particular for the high pressure in a fuel injection system, for example for an internal combustion Diesel engine, by means of which the pressure in a common high-pressure line supplied by a high-pressure pump, i.e. in the common rail, to which individual consumers are connected, is controlled in accordance with the instantaneous pressure fluid requirements. For adapting the pressure in the common high-pressure line to the pressure fluid requirements of the consumers, i.e. the injection nozzles, a device for limiting the amounts of fluids conveyed is associated with the high-pressure pump, which has at least on adjusting element which can be changed by means of an adjusting signal representing the instantaneous pressure fluid supply situation in the common rail.
