  • Patent number: 4821018
Abstract: In a direction indicator and hazard warning device for motor vehicles, a time sequence control is provided, which, during hazard warning operation with a closed driving/ignition switch, allows direction indicator signals to be superimposed and, when the direction indicator signals are switched on, the hazard warning signal to be superimposed. The signal first selected is automatically generated once again after the added signal has been switched off. If, however, the driving/ignition switch is closed with the hazard warning switch and the direction indicator switch closed, the device causes the hazard warning signal to continue to be generated.

  • Patent number: 4723078
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for the automatic engagement of a motor vehicle hazard warning system in case of impact accidents and emergency braking situations which includes an inertia switch with high response threshold and an acceleration sensor connected in parallel thereto with low response threshold whose output signals each serve for engaging the hazard warning system. The output of the acceleration sensor is connected to an evaluation circuit with an integrator and an threshold switch which prevents that also pulse-shaped output signals of the acceleration sensor lead already to turning on the hazard warning system.

  • Patent number: 4625359
Abstract: A windshield wiper unit with a wiper arm of telescopic construction which has a housing driven to and fro round an axis of rotation by a driving motor and a slide movable in relation to the housing, this slide being displaceable by a crank assembly is so designed that the various bearings are subjected to little load and so that compact construction is possible. This is achieved by having the connecting rod belonging to the crank assembly above or below the slide and linked to the slide between the two bearings for it and by having the distance between the two bearings at least as great as the stroke of the slide.

  • Patent number: 4229853
Abstract: A windshield wiper installation for motor vehicles, in which wiper arms together with wiper blades which are driven from an electric motor by way of linkage members and wiper shafts, are disposed in the parked position thereof inside of a well in the cowl of the body in front of the windshield; the driving members for the wiper arms are thereby so constructed that the wiper arms together with the wiper blades are manually movable out of their parking position in the wiping direction through a predetermined angular path and subsequently are movable back into the parked position.

  • Patent number: 4126820
Abstract: An antenna adapted to be extended and retracted for car radio receivers, which is actuated by means of an on-off switch of the radio receiver and is driven by an electric motor reversible in its direction of rotation; the control circuit for the electric motor includes two limit switch contacts adapted to be opened by switching cams on a disk that moves proportional to the movement of the antenna, and a further switching contact which is adapted to be actuated by a further switching cam of the disk; the further switching contact is thereby opened at and above a predetermined extended length of the antenna while a manual switch with push-button function and possibly with detent function is provided for the further selective extension or retraction of the antenna.
