  • Patent number: 4663952
Abstract: There is provided a device for the contactless coupling of control and output currents between the electronic elements on a locking cylinder and the electronic elements in the key of an electro/mechanical locking system. The device is characterized by a multiple coupler consisting of a part integrated in the key, preferably in the handle of said key, and a part disposed on the periphery of the locking cylinder, so that when the key is inserted in the locking cylinder, the two parts oppose each other at least at one point in such a way that contactless electrical coupling of the control and output currents is possible between the electronic elements on the locking cylinder and the electronic elements in the key.

  • Patent number: 4541500
Abstract: A bicycle is provided with a pedal drive and an electrodrive with an electromotor. They both are mounted on the boss of the rear wheel of the bicycle and can operate together or separately due to the provision thereof with individual freewheeling devices.

  • Patent number: 4500977
Abstract: A circuit for measuring and indicating the separation distance between a vehicle and adjacent obstacles, consisting of a pulse controlled ultrasonic generator, an ultrasonic transmit-receive transducer connected to the generator for transmitting direct ultrasonic pulse signals to distant obstacles, and receiving these signals that are reflected from the obstacles, an amplifier and detector circuit connected to the transducer output for amplifying the received pulse signals, a first comparator which is connected to the amplifier and and detector stage, and a start-stop counter coupled to the output of the first comparator for measuring the difference in time between the end of the transmitted ultrasonic signal, and the reception of the reflected signal from the obstacle. There is also provided a noise suppression circuit coupled to the output of said first comparator and a second comparator coupled to both the output of the noise suppression circuit and the output of said start-stop counter.

  • Patent number: 4458512
Abstract: The invention relates to a cylinder lock with a key for mechanical and/or electromechanical locking or electrical signal emission with codeable locking means and devices which influence or generate electrical currents. The device includes a cylinder housing with a cylinder core carrying the locking bit and a continuous keyway with conduits discharging therein for core platelets (wafers), whereby the key and locking conduits are provided with mutually cooperating and codeable mechanical devices and devices which influence or generate and electrical currents for mechanical and/or electromechanical locking, or for other given signal triggering. The device is characterized in that the mechanical devices for actuation or for triggering the mechanical locking each form a corresponding structural unit for coding within the keyway and in the key, together with the electrical/electronic devices for the electromechanical locking or signal triggering.

  • Patent number: 4437032
Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor for performing the distance measuring in accordance with the ultrasound-echo principle, in particular for determining and indicating approaching distances between vehicles and obstacles in close range with an ultrasound transmitter and receiving converter for emitting the ultrasound signals and for receiving the ultrasound signals reflected by the obstacles, whereby the converter consists of an insulated-type transformer with piezo-ceramic resonator disposed thereon, characterized in that dampening material (99) for preventing the energy rich ultrasound emission or reception is provided on the inside of the membrane of the insulator-type transformer on two horizontally opposite disposed circular segments.

  • Patent number: 4393672
Abstract: A cylinder lock and key assembly for effecting a mechanical and/or electromechanical locking with recodable tumbler devices and devices which influence or generate electrical currents is provided. The assembly includes a key, a cylinder housing, a lock cylinder and a keyway disposed in the flat rib of the lock cylinder housing which receives the rotatable cylinder. The key and the keyway are provided with cooperating, exchangeable and codeable mechanical devices, e.g., pins, for a mechanical locking and devices which generate or influence electrical currents, e.g., resistors, inductors, capacities or semiconductors, for effecting an electromechanical arresting or other signal triggering.

  • Patent number: 4290634
Abstract: The door of a motor vehicle may be locked and unlocked by means of an electric motor mounted in the door and accelerating a flywheel. When enough energy is stored in the flywheel, the flywheel is coupled to the lock mechanism. When the lock operation is completed, the flywheel is uncoupled from the lock so that its residual energy need not be absorbed by the lock, and the lock may be operated manually without requiring the flywheel to be turned during manual operation.

  • Patent number: 4269440
Abstract: A drive arrangement including a flywheel, an electric motor drivingly connected to the flywheel for rotating the same is provided with a motion transmitting train operatively interposed between the flywheel and an output member of the drive arrangement for transmitting motion from the flywheel to the output member only after a certain number of revolutions of the flywheel about its axis, thereby permitting the flywheel to be accelerated under no-load conditions before the energy stored therein is transmitted to the output member and to a load connected to the same. Because energy can be supplied by the drive arrangement at a much higher rate than would be available from the electric motor, the drive arrangement is well suited for door operating units of a motorcar and the like which need to be installed in the limited space within the door.
