  • Patent number: 5692649
Abstract: A suction and force pump for a fluid in a sealed fluid container makes possible the drawing off by suction of residual air after the filling of the container with fluid, with the piston (3) in a particular position in the pressure cylinder (8) of the pump, by means of the pump channel (7) of the pump itself. For this purpose there is provided a channel for drawing off the residual air by suction, from the upper side of the fluid container through openings (13), a gap between piston (3) and the internal wall of the pressure cylinder (8), which gap is sealed with respect to the pressure cylinder (8) only by means of a peripheral sealing lip (9), through the pressure chamber (6) to the pump channel (7). The valve (5) to the fluid container is thereby closeable independently of pressure during the pumping away, by means of a plunger (11).

  • Patent number: 5383850
Abstract: In the inhaler for the repeated inhalation of powdered pharmaceuticals there is arranged, in a housing (13) which has a rotatable cap (4), a dosing wheel with dosing chambers (22) between the intermediate floor (21) and a frame (20), which is supported on the baseplate (14). The rotatable cap (4), which is supported on the lid (17) by means of a spring (12), has an axially arranged cylinder (7) which projects through the lid (17), the intermediate floor (21) and the frame (20) into the housing (13) and is the drive shaft for the dosing wheel (1). The housing (13) is provided with a supply chamber (2) whose bottom part (intermediate floor (21)) has an opening (23) whose cross-section corresponds to that of the dosing chambers (22).

  • Patent number: 4710168
Abstract: A non-return valve for medical purposes, in particular for balloon catheters, has a hollow valve housing (3) which at one end has a connecting opening (8) for the insertion of a syringe nozzle and two abutments (16, 17) for a slide member (18). The slide member runs with its peripheral surface over at least one valve opening (15) at the cylindrical inside periphery (14) of the housing (3). The first abutment (16) is of such a slightly raised configuration that the slide member (18) can be inserted through the connecting opening (8), by making use of the elastic deformability of the valve housing (3) and/or the slide member. That makes it possible for the second abutment (17), at the end in opposite relationship to the connecting opening (8), to be already ready moulded in the manufacturing process.
