Abstract: The present invention provides a drip catcher (1) for a liquid container (10), comprising an at least partially elastic collecting member (2) for collecting droplets (12) during pouring of liquid out of the liquid container (10). The collecting member (2) comprises a core (4) of a number of bundled elastic threads (8) and a jacket (6) of an absorbent material arranged round the core (4). The drip catcher can comprise a collecting member (2) and a label (32) coupled thereto. The label (32) can be releasable and reusable as door hanger (74) and the like. The label and/or the collecting member can be provided with an imprint (40). The material from which the drip catcher is made comprises for instance polymer foam, felt, cardboard and the like.
