  • Patent number: 6307380
Abstract: While a high-frequency pulse is introduced at one end of a parallel conductor which is simulated as in an impedance equivalent state, an impedance mismatch generator is mounted to an intermediate region of the parallel conductor. As the impedance mismatch generator has produced a reflected wave of the pulse, a duration before the reflected wave is received at the one end is measured and multiplied by the propagation speed of voltage to calculate the distance from the pulse introducing point at the one end of the parallel conductor to the impedance mismatch generator.

  • Patent number: 6167440
Abstract: A communication startup processing system has an introduction processor which, upon reception of a connection request from a user terminal through a communication path established via a network service provider using a public circuit, transfers destination information as to a user terminal to be connected to, to another user terminal. When information relative to a connection is transmitted from the other user terminal directly or through the introduction processor from the public circuit, a communication processor disconnects a circuit and starts a connection processor according control information included in the transmitted information, and connects again to a user terminal which has issued a connection request through the communication path based on the transmitted information.

  • Patent number: 5293031
Abstract: A desired coded pattern such as a bar code is formed with two materials which are magnetically different, e.g., in permeability or conductivity. A sensor has primary coils which are excited by reference AC signals which are different in phase from each other, to produce an induced output signal. When at least one of the primary coils is moved relative to the pattern to approach the pattern, the induced signal produced in the primary coil changes in accordance with existence of a material in the pattern and the electrical phase of a composite output signal of the induced signals in the respective primary coils corresponds to the existence of the material in the pattern. By measuring the electrical phase of this induced output signal, therefore, the pattern corresponding to the existence of the material can be read on the basis of the measured data of the electrical phase.

  • Patent number: 4411701
Abstract: The present invention provides a gypsum molded product having excellent waterproof properties without impaired strength by adding alkaline metal alkylsiliconates or phenylsiliconates together with calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide to gypsum; poly(.alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid) may be used in combination with the above, if desired. According to the present invention, the preparation of a gypsum molded product, particularly a gypsum from desulfurization of exhaust gas, is contemplated.

  • Patent number: 4330589
Abstract: Present invention provides foamed gypsum moulded articles excellent in sound absorbing property and production thereof. The foamed gypsum moulded article has many foam-cells, and the foam-cells are interconnected through fine passages. The fine passages are formed using as a decomposition catalyst of hydrogen peroxide for expansion a cobalt compound produced by pretreating a water soluble cobalt salt with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of alkali. The foamed gypsum moulded article is preferably applicable to an interial wall, ceiling panel, and the like.
