  • Patent number: 5042153
Abstract: A sliding part produced by monomer casting. The sliding part consists of a bearing, a shaft which is rotatably or reciprocatably supported by and fitting into the bearing, and a resin lining formed on the bearing surface of the bearing. The resin lining is formed by pouring a low-viscosity monomer or prepolymer into the clearance between the bearing surface and the shaft and permitting the monomer or prepolymer to polymerize or cure in situ. The shaft is slidable on the resin lining.

  • Patent number: 5028374
Abstract: A binder, a water-repelling agent, and a mold release agent are added to wooden fibers obtained by splitting wood chips. This mixture is collected into a body having a particular shape without being formed into a mat. The collected body is compression molded under heat to make a molded wooden product.

  • Patent number: 4319016
Abstract: An ultraviolet-absorbing amino compound; a paint containing the aforesaid ultraviolet-absorbing amino compound; and a coated article having on its surface a coated film containing the aforesaid ultraviolet-absorbing amino compound are provided. The ultraviolet-absorbing amino compound is produced by reacting (a) a compound having a light absorption maximum within a wavelength region of 300 to 400 m.mu. and containing a mono-, di- or tetra-hydroxyphenyl group, (b) at least one compound containing a amino group and (c) formaldehyde, in the presence of at least one alcohol. The ultraviolet-absorbing amino compound of this invention is used in resin products which undergo photodegradation by ultraviolet light, for example, paints or molded articles of resins, and is especially effective for use in thermosetting synthetic resin paints.
