  • Patent number: 5604068
Abstract: An electronograph developing agent containing polymerized particles of non-uniformly-shaped aggregated materials obtained by aggregated of colloidal oil drops, each having a developing-agent core made of a polymerized substantially spherical resin fine particle and a coloring agent adhered onto the resin fine particle by a static force, and a monomer for swelling the developing-agent core.

  • Patent number: 5035973
Abstract: An image forming method includes the steps of forming an electrostatic latent image on an image-carrying body, developing the electrostatic latent image using a developing agent, and transferring the developed image. A compound which reacts with nitrate ions causing an image flow and forms a water-insoluble substance is added on the surface of the image-carrying body, and then a cleaning is performed on the surface of the image-carrying body. The water-insoluble substance is removed from the surface of the image-carrying body, and therefore the image flow is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4785324
Abstract: A photoreceptor of amorphous silicon is provided on the surface of a cylindrical drum. A charger, exposing unit, developing unit, transfer charger, separation charger, discharger and cleaning blade are located, in that order, around the cylindrical drum. A light shielding plate is located close to that surface of the discharger where the first-mentioned charger is positioned. The surface of the photoreceptor is charged, while the cylindrical drum is rotated, and then exposed to light to form an electrostatic latent image on that surface. A toner is supplied from the developing unit to the surface of the photoreceptor to develop the latent image into a visual image. The visual image is transferred by the transfer charger to a copying sheet, and the copying sheet is separated by the separation charger off the photoreceptor.

  • Patent number: 4641168
Abstract: In a semiconductor device intended to hold an electric charge due to being exposed to light, a photoconductive layer having a surface capable of being electrically charged is provided. A conductive base member is intended to support the photoconductive layer and permits the flow of electric charge therethrough. Between the photoconductive layer and the conductive base member, a first barrier layer and a second barrier layer are provided, the first barrier layer having a predetermined resistivity and being formed of a semiconductor serving to control the flow of an electric charge between the photoconductive layer and the conductive base member, and said second barrier layer having a resistivity which is higher than that of the first barrier layer and also being formed of a semiconductor serving to control the flow of an electric charge between the photoconductive layer and conductive base member.
