Abstract: An image forming apparatus comprises: a receiver which receives facsimile or print data file in a page description language, from an information processing apparatus; a spooler which stores the facsimile or print data file received therefrom, on the spooler itself; a converter which converts the facsimile or print data file stored on the spooler, to an image data format; a job generator which generates a job based on the obtained image data file; a facsimile transmitter; a printer; and a job controller which instructs the facsimile transmitter or the printer to perform facsimile transmission or printing according to the generated job, respectively. And the converter selects the facsimile or print data file among those stored on the spooler, based on the state of the printer and the state of the facsimile transmitter, before converting the facsimile or print data file to an image data format.

Abstract: A remote control device remotely controlled by a remote operation device includes an operation screen transmission portion to transmit an operation screen to the remote operation device; and a changed area decision portion to decide on an area in a second operation screen that is different from a first operation screen, as a changed area, in a stage before the operation screen transmission portion transmits the second operation screen subsequently to the first operation screen. The operation screen transmission portion includes a supplemental information transmission portion to transmit supplemental information including a command to display the changed area in full screen, together with the second operation screen.

Abstract: A data management apparatus for managing file data including image data or print data by a hierarchical structure, includes an operating unit designating a save source directory and a save destination directory; and a control unit copying or moving the designated save source directory as well as the file data included in the save source directory to the save destination directory, wherein if the save destination directory is on a higher hierarchy level than an upper directory directly including the save source directory, then the control unit copies or moves the save source directory with maintaining the higher directory.

Abstract: Disclosed an image data recording apparatus including: a memory storage control section to sequentially store inputted image data into a space area of the internal memory, and every time the storing is completed, to sequentially register, in a write list, memory area information about an area to which the image data has been stored, the memory area information including a start address of the area; and a write control section to specify the area in which the inputted image data is stored based on the memory area information, to allow the write section to write the data of the area into the optical recording medium from a head of the optical recording medium, and to write, into the optical recording medium, medium area information which is the memory area information in which the start address on the internal memory is changed to a start address on the optical recording medium.
