Publication number: 20040249009Abstract: An olefinic thermoplastic elastomer foam of the present invention has a density of less than 700 kg/m3, a compression set of less than 60% and a density of elastically effective chains v of preferably 3.0×10−5 to 2.0×10−4 (mol/cm3). An olefinic thermoplastic elastomer composition for preparing the above foam has an equilibrium creep compliance Je0 of 1.0×10−6 to 5.0×10−4 (Pa−1) and contains a crosslinked olefin rubber and an olefin plastic in a specific proportion. The olefinic thermoplastic elastomer composition can be prepared by melt kneading a specific crosslinked olefinic thermoplastic elastomer and a specific olefin plastic.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2004Publication date: December 9, 2004Inventors: Kiyoshi Homma, Noboru Sakamaki, Kunihide Hiraoka, Takeharu Isaki, Hirohisa Shiode, Eiichi Sugihara

Patent number: 6328916Abstract: This invention provides a method for stably adding a predetermined amount of supercritical carbon dioxide at a fixed delivery rate into a forming machine and also a process for producing an expanded thermoplastic resin product by making use of the addition method. Carbon dioxide is charged from a liquefied carbon dioxide cylinder (1) into a predetermined amount deliverable pump (2) while allowing the carbon dioxide to remain in a liquefied state. When the carbon dioxide is pressurized and delivered by the predetermined amount deliverable pump (2), a delivery pressure of the carbon dioxide is controlled at an optional pressure within a range of from a critical pressure (7.4 MPa) of carbon dioxide to 40 MPa to deliver the carbon dioxide without any fluctuation of the amount of the delivery by setting up the pressure of a pressure control valve (3). The carbon dioxide is heated to a critical temperature (31° C.) of carbon dioxide or higher to convert it into supercritical carbon dioxide.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 1999Date of Patent: December 11, 2001Assignee: Mitsui Chemicals, Inc.Inventors: Shigeo Nishikawa, Eiichi Sugihara, Masahiro Takedachi, Kaoru Yorita, Haruo Inoue, Yoko Shimada, Michio Eriguchi

Patent number: 5256734Abstract: A resin composition is herein provided which comprises 100 parts by weight of a polypropylene and 20 to 100 parts by weight of a hydrogenated styrene/butadiene or styrene/isoprene elastomeric block copolymer having a melt index of not less than 25 g/10 min as determined at a temperature of 230.degree. C. and a load of 2.16 kg/cm.sup.2. A method for manufacturing a coated molded article of the resin composition is herein provided and the method comprises the steps of molding said resin composition and then applying a coating directly without any preliminary surface treatment. This method can provide a molded article having low mold shrinkage factor and linear expansion coefficient, makes it possible to reduce the amount of fillers to be incorporated and is thus effective for making the weight of automobiles lighter.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 1992Date of Patent: October 26, 1993Assignee: Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals, Inc.Inventors: Eiichi Sugihara, Keigo Suehiro, Katsumi Sekiguchi, Minoru Hoshino

Patent number: 4839736Abstract: A CRT filter of the present invention consists of a film having a transparent conductive layer and effectively eliminates the static electricity which are generated from the CRT. Further, after the film previously having the transparent conductive layer was continuously manufactured, it can be laminated onto a nonconductive transparent sheet or plate. The transparent conductive film of a stable quality can be cheaply obtained. Thus, the CRT filter having the excellent static electricity eliminating capability and high resolution is manufactured. On the other hand, the CRT filter of the invention has such a shape as to be closely attached onto the front surface of the CRT. Therefore it is also possible to prevent such a phenomenon that the display image in the corner portion of the screen is blurred without deteriorating the resolution. The operator can continue the work without feeling the fatigue of the eyes and the mental pain.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1988Date of Patent: June 13, 1989Assignee: Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals, Inc.Inventors: Eiichi Sugihara, Hideo Amemiya, Koji Hayafune
