  • Patent number: 8233956
Abstract: A medical device includes a connector which contacts a sensor to electrically connect the sensor with a measurement circuit in a medical device, a contact terminal which constitutes the connector, and a slide pin which ejects the sensor out of the medical device. The slide pin performs the operation of pushing up the contact terminal contacting the sensor as well as the operation of pushing the sensor out of the medical device. Since the contact terminal is completely lifted up by the inclined surface of the upper end part of the slide pin before the sensor is discarded, there occurs no reaction due to rebound of the contact terminal which might occur at the moment when the contact terminal of the connector is separated from the sensor, and thereby the sensor can be discarded so as to fall freely.

  • Publication number: 20100279553
Abstract: Problem It is an object to provide a multiconductor jack and a multiconductor plug having an increased number of electrodes while ensuring practicality as well as compatibility with conventional multiconductor plugs. Solution Means A five-conductor plug associated with the present embodiment comprises first through fifth electrodes (11a through 11e) made of electrically conductive metal(s), and insulating collars (12a through 12d) made of insulating material(s) for achieving isolation between the respective electrodes (11). Outside diameter of fifth electrode (11e) at rod portion (14) is large compared with other electrodes (11a through 11d). The five-conductor jack (20) comprises an insulating casing (21) made of synthetic resin, first through fifth electrically conductive terminals (23a through 23e), switching terminals (24a, 24b), and a thrust member (stopper) (25) secured to the fourth electrically conductive terminal (23d) and located in the region of an opening that is an inlet for a jack.

  • Publication number: 20090227854
Abstract: The present invention relates to a medical device for analyzing body fluid, and provides a medical device which suppresses jumping of a sensor when the sensor is discarded after measurement, thereby to enhance stability and safety. For this purpose, a medical device 20 includes a connector 2 which contacts a sensor 4 to electrically connect the sensor 4 with a measurement circuit in a medical device 20, a contact terminal 11 which constitutes the connector 2, and a slide pin 3 which ejects the sensor 4 out of the medical device 20. The slide pin 3 performs the operation of pushing up the contact terminal 1 contacting the sensor 4 as well as the operation of pushing the sensor 4 out of the medical device 20.
