  • Patent number: 8395680
Abstract: Video files recorded on a disk recording medium are acquired from an image capturing apparatus. First contents information indicating a list of the acquired video files is created. Based on the created first contents information, second contents information in a network advertisement format is created. Based on the first contents information and the acquired video files, video files in the network advertisement format are created. The created second contents information is advertised onto a network. Video files requested from a client terminal on the network based on the second contents information are delivered to the client terminal.

  • Patent number: 7065590
Abstract: In an image input apparatus which can be controlled by a host computer, and has a request sending unit for sending a request input by the user to the host computer, an internal command execution unit for executing the request, and a request route flag table which stores correspondence data of the request type and destination, the user input is accepted, a request in a predetermined format is generated on the basis of the accepted user input, and the generated request is sent to the request sending unit or command execution unit with reference to the request route flag table.

  • Patent number: 6803949
Abstract: In an image sensing apparatus which senses a plurality of color images for obtaining a single color image or black-and-white image of high resolution by combining the sensed images, a color image/black-and-white image determination unit determines whether a sensed image is a black-and-white image or a color image. When it is determined that the sensed image is a black-and-white image, a pixel shifting method of shifting by half pixel for increasing a resolution is performed. Accordingly, the number of times to sense images is reduced, thereby shortening a period of time required for sensing a black-and-white image of high resolution by using a single CCD type color image sensor.

  • Publication number: 20020100037
Abstract: A software sale and distribution method is implemented by using inexpensive media and by a facilitated user operation, while the cost of a device therefor is reduced. By storing, in a portable information storage medium loadable into an information processing device connected to a network and in which software is downloaded from the network and is executed, identification information on the software, information on the location on the network of the software, and secret information related to a user who uses the software, the software can be executed after being automatically downloaded from a server terminal, without requesting a user to perform an operation. This enables a system for which a right-to-use software can be sold, which is stored in a small-capacity, low-cost portable information storage medium.

  • Patent number: 6404447
Abstract: When a TV conference application program is initiated, a software timer is activated. The timer is set to a predetermined period, e.g., 30 seconds, which is shorter than the time when a screen saver image starts to be displayed, e.g., one minute. Every 30 seconds, a pseudo user input event of mouse displacement is generated. Accordingly, the time counter of a screen saver is cleared before the predetermined time when the screen saver image starts to be displayed has elapsed, thereby it is possible to prevent the screen saver image from being displayed during executing the TV conference application program.

  • Patent number: 6304283
Abstract: A conference apparatus is adapted to advantageously perform a conference with a remote counterpart apparatus, store information on the events of the conference and then provide a realistic reproduction of those events. To this end, the conference apparatus includes an image memory for storing image information entered during the conference. A shared board presents the same image frame to the conference apparatus and to the counterpart apparatus, where the shared board is adapted to have shared information written therein by both the conference apparatus and by the counterpart apparatus, and a shared information memory, different from the image memory time-sequentially stores the shared information written into the shared board.
