  • Patent number: 9885146
Abstract: Electro-conductive fibers comprise synthetic fibers and an electro-conductive layer containing carbon nanotubes and covering a surface of the synthetic fibers, and the coverage of the electro-conductive layer relative to the whole surface of the synthetic fibers is not less than 60% (particularly not less than 90%). The electric resistance value of the electro-conductive fibers ranges from 1×10?2 to 1×1010 ?/cm, and the standard deviation of the logarithm of the electric resistance value is less than 1.0. The thickness of the electro-conductive layer ranges from 0.1 to 5 ?m, and the ratio of the carbon nanotubes may be 0.1 to 50 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the synthetic fibers. The electro-conductive layer may further contain a binder. The electro-conductive fibers may be produced by immersing the synthetic fibers in a dispersion with vibrating the synthetic fibers to form the electro-conductive layer adhered to the surface of the synthetic fibers.

  • Patent number: 8378014
Abstract: The polymer composition comprises a polymer and a liquid compound having poor compatibility with the polymer. When the liquid compound is caused to be held in the polymer in a high concentration, a block copolymer having in the molecule a copolymerized polymer block unit having high compatibility with both of the matrix polymer and the liquid compound is incorporated and dispersed. As a result, the block copolymer serves like a surfactant to form an interface and the liquid compound is enclosed inside the interface to thereby form a liquid-in-solid polymer type emulsion.

  • Publication number: 20040229540
Abstract: A dustproof clothing comprises a fabric, and at least part of the fabric comprises a dustproof fiber containing a photocatalyst and a dust-collecting agent. The dust-collecting agent may comprise a quadrivalent metal phosphate and a bivalent metal hydroxide. The photocatalyst may comprise an optical semiconductor (e.g., an oxide semiconductor such as titanium dioxide). In the dustproof fiber, the proportion of the photocatalyst may be about 0.1 to 25 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the dustproof fiber, and the proportion of the dust-collecting agent may be about 1 to 25 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the dustproof fiber. Since the dust collection efficiency of the fabric in the dustproof clothing is not less than 70% and the air permeability of the fabric is about 8 to 100 cm/second, the dustproof clothing is suited to a clothing for a clean room.
