  • Publication number: 20160368251
Abstract: To provide an olefinic shrink label that includes an olefinic shrink film having excellent stretchability. The shrink label offers stiffness, transparency, and heat shrinkability at excellent levels and has a low specific gravity. A shrink label according to the present invention includes a shrink film. The shrink film includes a base layer part, and two surface layers disposed on or over both sides of the base layer part. The surface layers each contain an amorphous cycloolefin polymer in a content of equal to or more than 50 percent by weight. The base layer part includes 5 to 65 layers. The layers constituting the base layer part include at least one layer (resin layer (A)) that contains a polyolefin resin in a content of equal to or more than 50 percent by weight.

  • Publication number: 20160284248
Abstract: The shrink label of the present invention provides a shrink label having high stiffness. The shrink label of the present invention is a shrink label comprising a shrink film, wherein the shrink film comprises a base layer part and surface layers disposed on both sides of the base layer part, the surface layers each contain not less than 50% by weight of a polyester resin, and the base layer part comprises 5 to 65 layers as layers, wherein the layers comprise at least a layer containing not less than 50% by weight of a polystyrene resin (layer A).

  • Patent number: 8173231
Abstract: The heat-shrinkable cylindrical label of the present invention comprises a cylindrical body formed a heat-shrinkable film into a cylindrical form, and a resin layer laid on a partial region of the cylindrical body, wherein the heat-shrinkable film is a film having a heat shrinkage ratio of 30% or more when the film is heated to 85° C. and having a shrinkage stress of 6.5 MPa or less when the film is heated to 85° C., and the resin layer is a layer which does not substantially deform when the layer is heated to 85° C. In a cylindrical-label-attached article, wherein the cylindrical label is shrunk by heat to be fitted to an article, the regions where the resin layer is formed rise up as a three-dimensional pattern in a convex form.

  • Publication number: 20100178438
Abstract: Provided is a shrinkable label having a hologram layer that suffers no whitening even after shrink processing with relatively large shrinkage. The label therefore fits even complicated dimensions of an article and, in addition, provides a superior holographic expression. The shrinkable label includes a shrinkable film and, on or above at least one side thereof, a hologram layer. The hologram layer is formed by curing a resin composition which is cationically curable by the action of an active energy ray and which contains one or more oxetane compounds including a monofunctional oxetane compound, and one or more bifunctional or higher-functional epoxy compounds. In the resin composition, the total of the oxetane compounds and the bifunctional or higher-functional epoxy compounds occupies 60 percent by weight or more of the resin composition, and the monofunctional oxetane compound occupies 30 percent by weight or more of the oxetane compounds.

The label therefore fits even complicated dimensions of an article and, in addition, provides a superior holographic expression. The shrinkable label includes a shrinkable film and a hologram layer present on or above at least one side of the shrinkable film. The hologram layer has been formed by curing a radically curable resin composition by the action of an active energy ray. The resin composition contains 45 to 95 percent by weight of an acrylic monomer and 5 to 55 percent by weight of a bifunctional or higher-functional urethane acrylate, based on the total amount of the acrylic monomer and the bifunctional or higher-functional urethane acrylate.
