Patent number: 8794408Abstract: There is provided a device for absorbing impact applied to a moving body that can exhibit high impact absorption performance in various collision aspects when a moving body collides with an obstacle or the like. A bladder 10 is provided on the back surface of a front portion of a high-strength frame 2 of an airplane M1. The bladder 10 includes first and second sealing members 11 and 12 that are formed of elastic bag bodies in which a lubricant is sealed. When an obstacle X collides with the bladder 10, the lubricant S generates pressure, which is substantially uniform and perpendicular to boundary surfaces of the first and second sealing members 11 and 12, on the basis of Pascal's principle, and transmits the pressure. Accordingly, when the airplane M1 collides with the obstacle X, high impact absorption performance is exhibited in various collision aspects.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2010Date of Patent: August 5, 2014Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Eiji Itakura

Publication number: 20130046459Abstract: Prediction means predicts a collision risk of a flying object with at least an altitude, a flying speed, and an attitude as parameters. When the prediction means determines that the collision risk is high, flight state control means controls the flying speed, the attitude, and a flying path to control the flight state of the flying object. Therefore, when the collision risk is high, it is possible to control the maneuvering of the flying object to prevent collision and to reduce impact at the time of collision.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 22, 2010Publication date: February 21, 2013Inventor: Eiji Itakura

Publication number: 20110297785Abstract: Provided is an airframe position adjusting structure capable of adjusting the position of an airframe (A) inclined in the left-and-right direction. In the airframe position adjusting structure (1), the position adjusting unit (10) is configured such that a component force (FV), in the up-and-down direction of the airframe, of a ground reaction force (F) to be received from the ground (G) may be greater as the rolling angle (?) when the airframe (A) touches down becomes greater. The component force (FV), in the up-and-down direction of the airframe, of the ground reaction force (F) acts as a force to return the airframe (A) to a horizontal position so that the position of the airframe (A) inclined in the left-and-right direction can be adjusted when the airframe (A) touches down.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2009Publication date: December 8, 2011Inventor: Eiji Itakura

Publication number: 20110115469Abstract: An optical fiber electric current sensor includes a polarization-splitter (13) that splits light outputted from a sensor fiber (11) into two polarization planes of which polarization directions are perpendicular to each other, a depolarizer (17) that depolarizes each of the polarization components from the polarization-splitter (13), light receiving element that converts the two lights that were depolarized by the depolarizer (17) to a first signal (S1) and a second signal (S2) respectively, and a signal processing unit (15) that, based on the first signal (S1) and the second signal (S2), determines the magnitude of a Faraday rotation applied to the linearly-polarized light, and thereby calculates a value of the current to be measured.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2009Publication date: May 19, 2011Applicants: THE TOKYO ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY, INCORPORATED, TAKAOKA ELECTRIC MFG. CO., LTD.Inventors: Reishi Kondo, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Shinsuke Nasukawa, Taro Kuramochi, Toshiharu Yamada, Eiji Itakura

Patent number: 7081276Abstract: A method for thermally spraying a film on an inner face of a bore of a cylinder block. A pair of suction pipes generates a spiraling air current in the bore, creating an air flow toward the center of the bore. A spraying device sprays molten metal partaicles including fumes toward the inner face of the bore. The fumes are captured by the spiraling air current and removed from molten metal particles directing toward the inner face of the bore. Molten metal particles from which the fumes are removed form the thermally sprayed film on the inner face of the bore. High-quality thermally sprayed film scarcely containing fumes can be formed on the inner face of the bore.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2003Date of Patent: July 25, 2006Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Noritaka Miyamoto, Eiji Itakura

Patent number: 7036354Abstract: A pump module 30 is provided for introducing a negative pressure t a fuel tank 10. A tank's internal pressure at a time, upon which a steady-state pressure reaching time elapses after introduction of the negative pressure is started, is detected as a convergence value. It is determined whether or not there is a leak in a system including the fuel tank based on that convergence value. A space volume inside the fuel tank 10 is detected by an output produced by a fuel level gauge 12. The steady-state pressure reaching time is set based on the space volume.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2004Date of Patent: May 2, 2006Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Eiji Itakura, Tetsuyuki Ooe, Kazuyuki Yada
