  • Publication number: 20060056341
Abstract: An information communication scheme for enabling the radio base station to carry out both point-to-point user information communications and point-to-multipoint user information communications with respect to radio terminals is disclosed. A first media access control identifier is allocated to a radio terminal which made a connection request, a correspondence between the first media access identifier and the radio terminal is broadcast, and a user information destined to the radio terminal is transmitted using a time-slot corresponding to the first media access control identifier. On the other hand, a second media access control identifier is allocated to a multicast information identifier, a correspondence between the second media access control identifier and the multicast information identifier is transmitted, and the multicast information is transmitted using a time-slot corresonding to the second media access control identifier.

  • Patent number: 6999438
Abstract: In a radio communication system having narrow-band up- and down-link radio channels and a wide-band down-link radio channel, when a radio terminal is to receive data through the wide-band down-link radio channel, the narrow-band up- and down-link radio channels are assigned to the radio terminal in advance. With this operation, communication an be performed by using the wide-band down-link radio channel. In addition, the narrow-band up- and down-link radio channels can be used as radio channels for performing control to efficiently transmit data by using the wide-band down-link radio channel.

  • Patent number: 6301674
Abstract: In supplying power to a plurality of electric apparatuses connected to a power line having a predetermined maximum consumable power, a power consumption of the power line is measured as a first power consumption. When a second power consumption predetermined in each of the electric apparatuses is told, a sum of the second power consumption and the first power consumption of the power line is compared with the predetermined maximum consumable power of the power line, and it is determined whether the second power consumption by the electric apparatus is permissible. A result of the determination is told to the electric apparatuses.

  • Patent number: 5940769
Abstract: In a radio communication system, communication for sending data from a transmitting station to a receiving station and communication for transmitting re-send data from the transmitting station to the receiving station according to the re-send request transmitted from the receiving station to the transmitting station are done on different occasions of communication. Hence, in the applications not requiring real time service, this re-send control method does not spend the power and radio resources wastefully, and by effectively utilizing the system resources and lowering the power consumption, the battery of the terminal may be reduced in size, so that the portability of the terminal may be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 5802469
Abstract: A portable terminal includes a first store for storing a first physical address including a serial number of the terminal, a second store for storing a first logical address including a subscriber's telephone number, a third store for storing a second physical address of a hardware used for computer communication, a fourth store for storing a second logical address corresponding to the second physical address, an interface for radio LAN, and an interface for PHS system. When a call is originated, a first channel is connected by using the first physical address and the first logical address. The second physical address and the second logical address are transmitted to the network from the call originator's terminal through the first channel, thereby setting in a state enabling communication between computers, and necessary data is transmitted to the call originator's terminal through a second channel by communication between computers.
