    Abstract: In a vehicle drive transmission device, a transmission includes an intermesh first engagement device, a frictional second engagement device, a first drive device configured to drive the first engagement device, and a second drive device configured to drive the second engagement device. The first drive device includes a first shift drum, a first cam mechanism configured to convert rotational motion of the first shift drum into linear motion, and a first transmission mechanism configured to perform the linear motion. The second drive device includes a second shift drum, a second cam mechanism configured to convert rotational motion of the second shift drum into linear motion, and a second transmission mechanism configured to perform the linear motion. The first shift drum and the second shift drum are connected so as to rotate integrally with each other via a drive shaft. A drum drive source is provided to drive the drive shaft.

A differential gear mechanism includes a differential input gear disposed on a third axis parallel to the first axis and the second axis and meshing with the output gear. The first gear and the second gear are disposed on a first axial side with respect to a rotor of the rotary electric machine. The parking gear is disposed on the second axis on a second axial side with respect to the third gear, the fourth gear, and the output gear.

    Abstract: According to the apparatus and method, combustible gas having a stable composition can be formed even if the load is charged. Burners are provided in the upper and the lower regions of an entrained bed coal gasification reactor. The temperature of the product gas is kept low in the upper region and high in the lower region. The volumes of the upper and lower regions are changed to meet the load so that the rate of heat loss becomes constant even if the load changes. Since the rate of heat loss can be kept constant and consequently variation of the composition of the product gas can be suppressed small, the efficiency of the coal gasification electric power generating system can be kept constant.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a desulfurizing agent comprising a porous oxide carrier, at least one of molybdenum oxide and tungsten oxide as a first component, supported on the carrier, and at least one of manganese oxide, cobalt oxide and nickel oxide as a second component, supported mainly on the surface of the first component. In a coal gasification system using the present desulfurizing agent and a power generation system using the purified gas therefrom, a reduction column for converting a portion of sulfur dioxide in the regenerated gas to hydrogen sulfide as a pretreatment means to a Claus reaction column can be eliminated when the desulfurizing agent is regenerated.
