  • Patent number: 8382198
Abstract: A demountable pillar 16 is demountably mounted to an upper frame bottom plate 9 and a floor plate 10. A spacer 35 is detachably attached to the demountable pillar 16. The spacer 35 is detached in a state that an upper load is supported by a lifting bolt 39 to reduce the height of the demountable pillar 16, and the demountable pillar 16 is demounted in a state that the upper load is supported by the other pillars. A fuel tank 11 as a device is removed from between the upper frame bottom plate 9 and the floor plate 10 in this state.

  • Publication number: 20120187721
Abstract: A construction machine has a locking mechanism for locking a lower end of a front part of a guard member onto a bracket while allowing a cab to be moved with elastic deformation of an anti-vibration mount. The locking mechanism has a shaft body across the bracket and the guard member vertically movably with the guard member. The shaft body has a stopper to be engaged to an upper frame side to restrict a moving amount of the shaft body to a stroke for shock absorbing. The bracket has a bolt insertion hole for a bolt to fix the bracket and a shaft body insertion hole for the shaft body. The bolt insertion hole is a lateral oblong hole extending in a direction inclined, with respect to the horizontal direction, toward a direction orthogonal to a load acting direction in the lateral rollover.

  • Publication number: 20120061994
Abstract: In a structure where a floor plate (10) is mounted above a bottom plate (9) of an upper frame while being supported by a plurality of pillars, a left-rear pillar (16) required to be demounted and re-mounted, among the plurality of pillars, is provided with a spacer (35) adapted to increase a height dimension of the pillar (16), and a combination of a screw hole and a bolt (39) which serve as screw unit adapted to support a load to be applied to the spacer (35), in place of the spacer (35). Under a condition that the load is supported by the screw unit, the spacer (35) is detached to reduce the height dimension of the pillar (16). Then, under a condition that the load is supported by the remaining pillars, the left-rear pillar (16) is demounted.

  • Patent number: 6009643
Abstract: A hydraulic excavator includes a cab disposed on a front portion of a revolving upper structure. An internal combustion engine is mounted in a rear portion of the revolving upper structure, and an directional control valve is disposed in the front portion of the revolving upper structure at a position spaced laterally from the cab. The directional control valve is arranged longitudinally of the revolving upper structure. A hydraulic oil tank and a fuel tank for the internal combustion engine are disposed on either side of the directional control valve. By virtue of a space provided between the directional control valve and the cab, transmission of heat and operation noise from the directional control valve to the cab is greatly suppressed.

  • Patent number: 5040851
Abstract: A pneumatic circuit for a wheel mounted shovel wherein an air passage which extends through a swivel joint of the wheel mounted shovel is communicated commonly with a parking brake device and a suspension locking device of the wheel mounted shovel. The pneumatic circuit comprises a solenoid operated control valve communicated with a pressure source by way of a first air passage. The control valve is communicated with a working/service brake device by way of a second air passage. A third air passage is also connected to the control valve and is branched at a location on the downstream side of a swivel joint of the wheel mounted shovel into fourth and fifth air passages connected to the parking brake device and suspension locking device, respectively. An electric circuit is connected to the pneumatic circuit and includes a manually operable change-over switch for controlling the control valve to selectively connecting the first air passage to either one or neither one of the second and third air passages.
